I don`t care about romanians:) My aim is to win at least 2 rounds. My ranking is so low i could get a superb opponent right away.

lol yeah
with average mark of slightly over 70 he can hardly be called a favourite.

So who makes the decision on extra game money, training etc. Those involved or a chance to be involved? Unless you're going to put this to vote as to whether it's akin to friendlies, or as the NT set up goes, then how can you implement this?

All the comments about how it won't benefit anybody is rubbish. The gap in some leagues from top teams to those "aspiring to be" is big enough & even if comparing to RL, just look at the EPL or La Liga....top 2 miles in front...take away Europe & private ownership & it's a different story.

Part of the attraction of SK is that all things are equal relatively speaking...let's keep it that way.

Or are we happy to say "The rich get richer, the poor get the picture!"

It is normal, that only devs make those decisions. If this would be put to a vote, then the results would be obvious.

All the comments about how it won't benefit anybody is rubbish.

First of all only 128 teams around the world. 2 teams from one country maximum.
64 of them will get only one extra-training. 32 will get 2 etc...And I honestly doubt someone is going to train as many players as possible. What would those few extra trainings change? Nothing is the answer.

Or are we happy to say "The rich get richer, the poor get the picture!"

Rich teams will have nothing to do with the gate money and it will be divided 50-50 as much as i have understood and seems logical. Lets say your team gets to a final. It makes 7 matches (your arena capacity is around 70k), gate money ~500k euro per game, which will be divided. So in the end you will earn 250k from a game. In the end you will earn 1.75mil euro . That amount is so little and top teams have nothing to spend it on.

People tend to forget the negative sides of an extra game - players still get cards and injured.

Until you think about it for a bit it seems unfair but once you get to the fine detail of injuries and red cards as well as the consequences on players form then it seems to me that it will not give a benefit. For teams to do well in their league and in the two cups bigger squads will be needed meaning, if anything, the overall first eleven strength of these teams will be diluted.

I find it depressing that on such a great day for the devs and every user in the game that some people only want to criticise- personally I would like to thank the devs for all the hard work they must have put in to make all these changes :)

not that they dont deserve a little scolding :)

but yes, well done the devs. keep it up.

for me this will probably be more interesting than many of the NT games, as the CL games will be more balanced than most of the NT games. i hope the concept will prove viable and and another cup will be added like UEFA, European cup whatever they name it.

Congratz devs

Don't get me wrong - I think the Champs Cup is a good idea.

However, if the extras that come with it mean so little (as I'm hearing), then nil gate etc wouldn't be missed either.

Two sides to every coin.
2009-11-29 17:35:48
On the other hand it would've been much more fun for everyone if there were no cards, no injuries and no training involved. Teams would use 1st team always, wouldn't get much benefits - everyone would be happy.

if you think about it there is no training bonus

first is CL match - must be A squad to advance
first league match - is against last years #2 team, must be A squad
cup match - B squad

there may be teams that carry extra A squad level players that are good, as top teams to in RL, but this will cost considerable salary to maintain

exciting news!

I'd have thought the general idea is to test your best XI against the best.

not really, first games will be top half vs worse half. So teams from Poland, Italy, Eesti etc can use worse teams if the draw teams from Indonesia etc.

Not in my case ;).

Mine is against #7 but yeah in most cases probably will be against #2.

fantastic!

the rumours of this happening is what's kept me so interested in sokker all these seasons :)

Can't wait for it to start!

Who can see the champion's cup matchs ?
2009-11-29 18:45:22
ok, so they get one, maybe two weeks of extra training, hardly worth the effort of adding another group of trainees
