Subject: [news] Junior Teams
So if the talent will be less aqurate with the new system, why not stay out of the league and see the talent as we know him now?
In effect it makes no difference whether you watch the matches or not, because they will tend to be less than useful at helping you find out which skills a player is high in.
However, because of this statement:
the more matches your junior plays, the more adequately the coach knows his total skill and shows it to you
anyone who wants to know what his junior skill levels are has no choice but to participate in the league.
Isn't it clear that accuracy in a gameplay mechanic (clear player talent progression in the junior school) has been sacrificed in order to put in a cosmetic feature (junior matches)?

no, why should that be clear?
obviously some people are content with the talent not beeing that obvious.

So you don't agree that accuracy in talent determination by users has been removed? And you don't agree that a new feature in junior matches has been added?
What's not clear about it?
With regards to your second sentence, as I said previously, if people really didn't want talent to be obvious then they could take their own alternative steps. The problem is that they want others to be hindered as well.

So if it doesnt matter for you (and ìts not for me) to know the future possìton of the youth, it will be more profitable not to join the league (as you will get better deal for more acurate talent)
guy fink, I don't think you've read the first post properly, and neither have you read the above posts about the clarity of unknown junior skills when watching matches.
There's no real way to know in which position a player will be better in.
Not joining the league is not a solution. Things are going to be changed (this is in the first post, please read it again) such that everybody will now be unclear of their juniors' exact skill and talent levels, and it is the youth coach level as well as participation in matches that will give a ballpark figure.

sure i agree! it's obvious if one is able to understand the new rules. but you set those changes in a direct relation i don't agree with. (you said one was sacrificed for the other) please try to read carefully.
i don't really see what those alternative steps you mentioned would be. doesn't matter anyway, because the changes in gameplay weren't introduced by those ominous people you mention, but by the devs.

Well if you feel that one hasn't been sacrificed for the other then perhaps we'll have to disagree on that point.
It wasn't intended to be a direct derivation from the earlier statements, I assumed that was clear. It was related, but not directly so.
If you haven't read the earlier posts, perhaps it would be better to do so before engaging in a discussion, otherwise it's pretty much just jumping in blindly.
At which point have there been any indication of 'changes in gameplay...by those ominous people you mention'?
Stick to discussing the topic if you will. We can always get snarky with each other over PM.

and why do you think, that they sacrificed 1 for the other? they could have implemented ys matches without touching the talent accuracy easily. anyway, we don't know it so everyone should think of it as he likes.
what makes you think i didn't read earlier posts? which is wrong btw.

that was because you mentioned a few times, that the problem is, that people some people don't want to have accurate talent info from ys and since if they don't have that info, but others have, would mean a disadvantage, they don't want others to have it as well.
i don't see why this should be the problem. the "problem" is, that devs decided to do so, not that some users think of it as a good change.
i don't think i'm ot as i am obviously discussing aspects of the new ys system.

When is the first junior match going to be played? December 15, maybe?
In the same week as senior league matches. Season is ran simultaneously.
I did not read carefully all the post but seems to me that there are some confused ideas.
The present junior system, without junior matches, will be almost the same as before, slightly improved. Still you will have the same data as before plus you will know the age of the junior and whether he is GK or not.
If you join a junior league and play some matches, your coach will help you to discover the hidden distribution of skills of each player. That will be an additional info. The info from old system, now improved, will remain there as usual.
Another thing: the training will be almost the same as now, and you will get the same players as before, the only thing that change is that you will have extra knowledge of your juniors before they are pulled and extra fun from the matches.
Is not true that every skill will train the same in amount. They will train the same in percentage so the distribution of skills remains the same.

In luxembourg, I don't think we have more than 5 or 6 junior schools reaching a number of 11 players. I'm also curious to see how it will work !
I have 15 players in my jr. school at the moment :))
We'll be in it !

The distribution of individual skills is set for each junior when he comes to your junior team; each individual skill grows with the overall skill when your junior trains each week.
So if my player started with tragic keeper, weak pace, average striker
he grows 5 every skill, then he will come out as average keeper, very good pace, excellent striker?
If yes, then from now on youth pull will always have higher keeper then before?

it sounds really really weird to me

from where do you have this info ? your version is totally different from all what others members of staff said
