in the other side you can play in another challenge

so its almost confirmed, ive got an outstanding 20yo jr ready to contract, but i havent yet. i go to match orders for the first jr game and he is still an option to play. since a 20yo pull is gona be complete crap anyways ill make him a permanent player for my jr squad and never pull him =D

eventually im going to phase out my jr squad because i rarely make back the 1.3M seasonly investment. ill just have ~13 players 19yo/excellent or better to dominate the games at a cost of 13k per week, which saves a lot of money compared to what ive weekly been putting into the youthschool but is worth the enjoyment and hardware

*all assuming my 20yo outstanding who is ready to contract will still be able to play, which as of right now it appears he will be able to

The sad part of this is, that the new system is a golden opportunity, for those who have cheated with players talent, when it come to the transfer part, cause now you can't argue with a manager who says, that this was the evaluation of his coach, cause the coach could be wrong. This is an early x-mas gift for the cheaters, and it's sad IMHO.
2009-12-17 18:40:04
i disagree. you cant rely on any talent graphs anymore, so you wont believe cheaters either

according to the devs, you should be abel to get a reliable talent graf, when the junior is playing games, so yes it is a gift.

yeah this is I was thought too, but I'm going to keep only 5-6 juniors like outstanding in my squad because I want to pull some good ones too. I think with stadium incomes I will affort the payments to this 5-6 juniors. But anyway, I pay very much more per week than 5k so this is a really not important expenditure

nope

I don't understand the grumpiness over the new state of affairs concerning juniors. I think it's a piece of genious that brings in the real life situation - any junior in an academy in RL will be best rated by a good coach who would need to see the player in action. Makes sense doesn't it?
Maths fans who need to work out pi to 1 million places may be upset, but they will have to live with it and get real!

Don't compare this to RL, because in RL the club will have far more trainees. Also, in RL coaches will be able to give a basic evaluation of different aspects of a player's footballing ability.

Talking about pi is really ignoring the issue. Address the points people have brought up, instead of flinging out outlandish statements.

I'm not sure, but i believe your junior cannot stay permanently in the Junior school. I do remember something about from when i start to play the game few years ago, i can't remember exactly what.

I guess you have not fully understood my previous post.
Most likely because I was in hurry when writing it.

Here is the point again:
With the new youth system you can see the age of the juniors and the remaining weeks.
Therefore you can sort out by these parametres without taking care about talent.
This new system actually saves you more money than the old system.
Say bye bye to 20y old outstanding pulls that aren't worth keeping for 20++ weeks.
Say bye bye to 19y old excellent pulls.
You first sort out by this values and don't lose as much money.
This players aren't worth keeping.

If your school is full with 11 promising youth players that come with reasonable age/total skill level you can be a lucky man because I have only 3 with minimal age and non have talent or high end skill.

agrees.

Watch his age, determine how old he will be. decides what level you think he needs to be profitable in the long run.
Use talent = 4 as a marker

look how much levels there are between the counted end level and the level you think he has to have.

is it better then +2, you have a new prospect
is it between -2 and +1 take him to the ballgame on thuesday and decide on trainingday
is it worse, get rid of it

After this first decission
put all level data every week in an excelsheet
then use =linest() function to determine the talentline (ok you need probably 15+ week to get agood line, but maybe if they play a lot you can see it quite good after let say 10 weeks)

/edit: if you do not have excel or open office, you can use google documents for it.
i have a (dutch) example on: google docs

I cant see my matches on the matches page. I also do not have matches set in my league. 2 teams are not playing this week including mine whilst others are playing.
2009-12-18 10:39:51
there should be max. 1 team per country that has no match (uneven number of teams)

maybe the second team joined the league after draw was made?
2009-12-18 10:40:13
it could be that one of your teams signed up too late, if there is an odd number one team randomly gets a bye week

but when the matches are drawn next week you are guaranteed to get one :)
2009-12-18 19:09:35
we'll see =D

some times my friends i introduce to the game start quitting, but when they sign back on for a while theres like 10 jrs waiting to be contracted, im not sure they ever just leave. ill find out haha
