so new estimations are totally indipendents from the older ones..
afaik yes
The new way is even more complicated than expected.
yes...
In the future the number of youth in school wouldn't exceed 18-20 players..
I hope not, it's just the decision whom to keep that has changed

I'd say the opposite is the case, it's hard to get 6 spots free because you're not sure who to fire ;-)

4 matches with similar performance, does not sound rational that all of his opponents were below weak technique?
Performance (understood as rating) is not influenced by opponent's level, but just by the skills used during match. If a player uses more or less the same skills in the same proportion, he will receive the same rating.
Now, if by performance you mean that he actually stole a lot of balls from your rivals, remember that a junior can have at most excellent technique, and having such juniors is not very likely. Given that other managers ingore the skills of their players as well, he was facing basiacally random players with techinque in a tragic-solid range, and my guess is that up to adequate he would likely win front tackles (not side or back tackles, though).
The problem with good performing juniors is that most juniors suck anyway :P

I don't know.
Is quite evident that the main goal of this modification is to reduce the outgoing of youth.
Now there is age factor that is discriminant, because talent and level is quite unknown, even more if your player doensn't play matches.
Now a good 34 18yo hardly stay in school more than 4-5 weeks (playing all the matches, of course).
Moreover, a younger that came out in the middle of season as 19yo with a level around formidable is a bet, and no all players have the resources to make it.

Imo the main goal is to reduce the visibility of the talent.

True, the age is now more important, but because talent and skilllevel is more unclear, but I think most managers keep more players because of that.
I mean, it's better to keep those players because it might be that they're better and more talented that you actually think.
But well, some managers might keep more youth players (like me) and some less (like you).

If one manager hasnt got good coaches what next? And many managers are waiting a good pull to sell and after that to improve their coaches. But now you destroy them and destroy small counties. That is my opinion.
Why?
It's the same as before, the juniors train as fast as before, they get the same skill as before! And now even the age is shown!
The only thing that's not accurate anymore is the talent.
Why do you think small countries get destroyed?

E.g - Weeks in YS divided by Levels gained. Then a variance of talent of and there will be a talent range. I propose an experiment here, people with different level coaches keep a player when he exits YS (not approving/sacking him) so he is still in the YS. Then for an amount of weeks - see how much his appraisal varies. Then a universal guide for variance may be created. Now the talent doesn't go below three, as we know that is the best talent. So what would have been a 3.33 under an unearthly becomes a 3-3.83 talent and a 5 under an excellent would become a 4-6 talent or so.
To summarise:
When a junior reaches the end of his training period in the YS, don't approve/reject him.
For a period of time see how his appraisal varies under different level coaches (appraisal still varies after graduating)
Everyone submits results: they are compiled, and averaged. Hopefully, the unearthlies will vary less than a good.
If so - an universal average is posted, e.g:
Unearthly - Variance - 0.5 or an average percentage (whatever looks better)
Magical - Variance - 0.6
Brilliant - Variance - 0.67
Incredible - Variance - 0.75
Outstanding - Variance - 0.83
Formidable - Variance - 0.95
Excellent - Variance - 1
Of course of I've made this up, it could be much larger.
The talent won't be definite - it will be a range - so it is still a lottery, but not a huge one.
Everyone is generally happy.
There may be a few exceptions, but hey, it should help.

is tomorrow night the final junior game of the season???
I lose 4-0 .. and my suplevel dropped 3 levels ??
:) strange, but the system isn't perfect yet.
I also find something strange: I have put players on every position and in no position they play well :s, formidable youth players xs

Are you sure? I've never heard anything like that, the influence of Junior matches is very very low!
@tbeirke
I think it does not has to do with your juniorgame but with your relegation.
