and yes, I had some reasons (but I don't hide behind those) for pulling out some mistakes :)

Don`t take this as an insult or an offense against you, rather than a positive criticism. Your tactic was weak and wrong today. Romania is definitely stronger on a paper, than Chile, but if you look the stats, then they had more chances to score. Watched the game a bit aswell. If you are stronger, then you can`t give initiative to your opponent. You used 5 in the back and low defense. 2 midfielders, which was also wrong move. You did everything to give the chance to your opponent. And they used it well. Also didn`t see why it was useful to move your CB forward in higher squares..

You can do much better, than you did today.

Yes we actually can. I am not saying you are a bad manager, but if you have been here for 5 years, then you should be able to use your experience even in your first match as a NT manager.

Good luck in the future though. You will have no problems qualifying.

Vilpu, I actually wanted them to have the initiative... that was the whole plan.. I wanted less opportunities but more certain ones... I played with 2 mids because I was playing on ca... but then again, I don't say that it was the best decision... I learn from mistakes but only few were mistakes (especially the def/mid one... god... what a NOOB I am)

i guess a mistake is to play CA when you are the stronger one...

Take it as constructive criticism, if you always strive to learn as much as possible from your mistakes and are open to all advice you will tend to improve quickly.

Agreed, it was a sweeping statement, I didn't want to give specific advice and ad no idea you would read the post or take it so personally. Vilpu's advice is more constructive and I was referring to that when I mentioned learning from constructive criticism.

As we are now discussing this in more detail, I can elaborate. After a very quick look at your tactics it seemed to me that the main problem was that your defence was too deep and midfield 2 too high (relative to the defence), as a result the space between the defence & midfield was too wide. This created space for Chile to pick out passes to the winger/striker and essentially invited pressure on your team.

Essentially the tactic construction was fundamentally all wrong and unless it is fixed it won't matter whether you play a 4-4-2, 4-5-1, 5-3-2 or any other formation, the results will not be great in a lot of matches.

dunno what is the problem with ypou rpomanians, but you sistematiclyu dont use your potential enough. your the one of 3-5 best team in the worls, and you did not got any good results in history. maybe after i will win the WC with poland i will try some where elce (Swiss are my first option, byt romannia and spain are attriactive too)

well i rather prefer to say taht chile manager did a grat job then say rumania manager did it all wrogn cuz at last the good or worn with tactics depends mostly on both teams argument on the field and managers stiles ocourse the power to anticipate or predict ur contender moves gives u a big advantage on this game =)

i recon rumania shuold win cuz he have better teambut chile have a great team if u subestimate them they are going to beat u
