League champions AS Adema won a match 149-0, more than quadrupling the existing record - and without gaining possession of the ball between the first goal and the 149th.
Their opponents, Stade Olymique L'Emyrne, took complete control of the national league game, reducing Adema to the role of onlookers, as they deliberately knocked the ball in the back of their own net 149 times, in protest over a refereeing decision.
The English Football Association believe that the 149-0 scoreline represents a new world record. "I certainly think it's a world record," said the FA's historian David Barber.
So 40-0 is nothing :D

actually after checking it out, it´s pretty real considering the fact that PT started with 10 men and later also played 50 minutes without a goalkeeper.

After the great preformance last week against Swizerland we gave a great fight for Eesti untill we got the red for our best defender (than my def-mid moved to play defender and the hole in the middle of the field was too much for us...) , before that the score was 2:0 and my striker had at least 2 great chances to score but he missed as allways , we could have stolen a draw last week with a little more better luck , today we might have lost it anyway , but with better luck and no red card it could have been much closer...

Still , considering the level differences between us and Eesti (or Swizerland last week) , our players did the best possible..
