I think it is possible to do well with players that arent superdivine stars with the right tactics and luck , its possible , but of course in most cases the stronger team will win it and its harder in the WCQ to do so because its not one game like a cup so there is a need to a full season of supprises , im more frustrated when we play well and still lose the game , ok , we play against a much better team that makes 13 more ratings points which is huge difference , and ok , we are the weakest team in the 3rd pot and there are even teams like Ecuador in 5th pot which are stronger on paper or not to mention Moldova in 4th i think and making over 70 so i guess i shouldnt expect us to win against teams like Spain or Soumi , but its still sucks!
And Latvija will be in the WC , dont know if this one or the next one or the one after or whenever , and i dont know if ill be the manager when they will , but it will happen!

Yes Ecuador underpoerformed a lot in last seasons.. they don't deserve pot 5. Also Moldova won't be for long in pot 3, 2 weeks=2 positions up :) i hope at the end of the season we will be in pot 3 :)

I wont be supprised if you will make it to the WC , your ratings are over 70 and with phil formations its surly possible...

With 150 users Austria is a rather small country. Thats really obvious.

the level of 'smalless' is not given by number of users, imo. That's why I think Austria isn't that small, they have pretty strong NT, I've seen mark 77 recently, isn't very accesible for everyone...

I am not talking about the number of users, here's a NT topic, thus we should be talking about national teams.
Regarding number of users, yeah, 150 means a small country.
But regarding NTs, for instance, Vietnam has 624 users and I don't think they got over 65 mark. what kind of country is it? medium to big country, because 624 is quite a number of users... or small country, because, currently, they still don't mean too much as NT?
I would choose 2nd one...

Austria, 77 mark, for me is a big country.

Austria has a strong NT that's right, but they won't have that squad for a long time. the nr of users will say it's word. Those NT's with bigger user nr in time will be better than Austria... YOu know: more youth schools, more youth players,etc

Austria is a 'dying' NT, while Vietnam is a 'growing' one.
The more time passes, the harder it will be for Austria to perform. It will be under much more stress from form and injuries and suspensions. Vietnam will get to the level of most NTs and have backups ...

I don't agree. They seem to have a consolidated community, since they have always had few users but they've got now a strong team, what means that not much users join the game, but almost no strong team leaves. Of course they won't probably reach any level higher than that in the big future, but I doubt their team is gonna get worse in a significant way.

The low nr of users will have a big impact, ofc they won't fall down to a 62 rating team, but to a 71-72 for sure, after some time... A NT without a solid nr of users can't stay on top for long.

For instance NZ, or Scotland, or Slovenia, that once had a strong NT, not they got weaker...

Only if their users suddenly leave the game (what is natural after some years) and there's no one to replace. But they can still have a strong NT until infinite if they keep ~70 active users.

You don't understand me ,right? I didn't say they will become weak, i said they will become weaker. OFC they will retain a 70+ rating meaning they are strong as NT, but they won't have for a long time squad that makes 77 rating
