I'm sorry you had to read those words, but rest assured that in Italy we have never hated foreigners—especially since foreigners have played for our national teams, both the senior squad and the U21s.
So everyone is welcome.
The message was meant to wake us up as a community, because it seems strange that no one has come forward in Italy, not even our own compatriots.

And why the hell this fellow donzauker is always applying for "straniero" NTs?
Currently Eesti u21 coach, in the past Danmark NT and U21 coach.
Very strange behaviour.

As I said before, this message is directed at us Italians.
I expressed my desire to go to Italy on the forum, but I’ve already earned points in Austria, and it wouldn’t look good if I left the national team—though I’ll wait until the very last day to see what happens.
Donzauker has surely given it some thought and, like many others, decided that Italy is a tough national team to handle right now and it’s better not to try; perhaps in the future, when he’s ready, we’ll be ready to vote for him.
The same goes for anyone in this game who wants to run for national teams like Romania or Poland: if you run, you go in with a clear intention to win and the hope of not making a fool of yourself.

I have a sympathy to Italy always. I wish good luck on election for next season to U-21 Italy.
A very inappropriate message from someone who already coaches another national team. For someone like me, who lived in Italy for many years, it's a reason to stay as far away as possible.
Guys, let's not get angry, his message was probably not clear and could be misunderstood, as I wrote in the message above, if anyone wants to apply they are welcome, I coach abroad and everyone welcomed me with pleasure and politeness
Yes, but not everyone has this behavior luckily. I have also coached some small countries national team and i find it normal to be openminded about foreigner coaches.
And as a bolo, be good. I'm absolutely not against foreigners, as I could be. It was a message addressed to my community. We have many internal initiatives to engage them with various competitions that might end if an outsider arrives... if you want to apply, you're welcome.
No problem.
It’s very easy to misinterpret things, but the important thing is not to jump to conclusions :)
VegaMorena, thank you, and I hope that one day you’ll become a great coach for your national team. :D

I’m sorry you feel that way, but I can assure you that, in the interests of fairness and honesty, I’m sharing all my doubts and the decisions I’d like to make with the entire Austrian community.
Fortunately, I’m receiving some very encouraging messages, and as a coach, it’s always a pleasure to read them.
I’m not a coach who wishes anyone ill; I’m not strong, but I’ve always tried to find the funny side of every sentence or every word spoken in this forum to create a phrase or a meme so we can have a good laugh together. :D

It's simple, what that user said is very obvious. Maybe for you it's a joke, for me it's just hate. I'm a serious guy and I don't accept that. Good luck finding a coach, uno italiano, certamente!
I love to laugh—at everything.
But the world is beautiful because it’s diverse, and everyone has their own thoughts and ideas.
The important thing is to respect those choices and ideas and not make hasty decisions. :D
As I said before, I’m sorry you feel that way.
Thank you for your words, and together with the other Italians, we hope to find a coach—whether Italian or foreign—who makes us feel that person was the right choice.
Good luck to you, too.

I wish everyone more smiles, Italy is a beautiful country, smiling people and certainly hospitable. I will visit you someday :) Greetings from Poland to Italy
First you beat us 3-1, make it to the Druid's Cup final, and then you want to come to Italy?
But I don't want you in Italy at all.
1. Because you didn't win the World Cup again.
2. You need to explain to me—since when has Italy been in such bad shape?
