New version is ready

sheet

(it is around 15 MB, and it is heavy, so maybe some old computers will not like it very much.)

/edit: download is smaller because of zipping it :)

thank you for this tool, pretty interesting and it give more enthusiastic numbers than sokker organizer, I hope your predictions are better :)

from around 15 weeks it must be reliable in very most cases, and every week after that the reliability will grow :)

before week 15 it can be used, but there can be a big gap between evaluation and reality

5 5 5 6 6 6 7 7 7 and 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 give ofcource a different outcome, but the first could be the second and the second could be the first. You can only say it is not very likable, but sometimes it happens.

Can't you DL the talent week after week, from our sokker youth player?
2011-02-18 12:15:07
nope... my skills are not good enough for that. (and it should work not only in excel but also in open office and even someone i know use it in quatro pro)

Now i have finished this i will have to learn java first, and than i will make it in that. But you can image that cas a lot of time. :) But i am certainly planning to do that.

I wish you the best in the programmation of that and of many other things ^^

I've had my own private (for the Irish anyway) spreadsheet for the juniors since the new system came in. You might as well use it, I don't have the skills to automate it any further.

Nin's Youth Tracker V.3

Features

A full 34 week tracking graph.
An increasingly accurate talent calculator (semi-automatic)
A fully automatic and colour-coded 34 week deficit grid
Individual player graphs including target lines
Complete overview graph with target and sacking lines
Colour formatting of ages, talents and weeks in the squad

Instructions

Fill out the names column in B
Fill out the skills for each player for each week
Fill out the end age (optional)

Go to each individual players chart and take a mental note of the number before x. It'll likely be between 0.10 and 0.33.
Insert this number into Accension 8+ on the first page, for the corresponding player.

You can stop at this point. There is an option to fill in the "Ahead" column according to whether the deficit grid says the player is ahead or behind their target but it's optional.

Results

Talent will be displayed for each player but keep in mind that it won't be truly reliable until around 8 weeks. For that reason, I wouldn't bother getting the x number for those players who are black in the Weeks column.

Scroll right and you'll find a large black grid. Players in green are ahead of the curve (the number will say by how much) players in red are behind.

If you go to the individual player pages you'll see a line predicting their end level. It'll update each week as you fill out the first page.

The very last page is the overview. The red lines are the target and sacking guide. Anyone who falls below the sacking guide probably should be, unless they're very young.
