Forgive my newbie questions,

I'm guessing the lower number of the talent, the better?

What's the value that you would consider an average player, a good player, or an extremely rare player.

If I had low quality youth coach, how should I adjust the skill progress?

Thanks a lot. :)

the lower the better indeed. The best possible talent is a little bit worse then 3. what means that a player raise around every 3 weeks. A player with talent 4 raise around every 4 weeks.

The raise i am talking about is a real raise, not what you see in sokker, because what you see in sokker is like a guessing value that lies around the real value.

with a brilliant or better youthcoach very good talent is 3,5 or better. good is 4,25 or better, below 4 it is normal to very bad.

You do not have to do anything if you have a low quality youth coach. The only thing this sheet does is calculating the talent.

But when you sell a player, and gives screens with that it is wise to tell or show you have a low quality coach.

Made an update. Bug removed that alowed a start above 7. Also made the bandwith a litle big wider for weeks below 15. Also a tweak for difference of 2, how later how more weight it cost.

i'm a fan of this sheet.

some hints for users:
this sheet can be used as a helpfull tool not only for the real values the game throws at you but also for your own guesses.

if your 'killer recruiter instinct' tells you a certain estimation from your coach was wrong for a certain week you can also test the result with the correction(s) you made in the series.

don't want to keep every single player for 15 weeks but rather for example 10 weeks to make up your mind about them? feel free to add a few likely estimated evolutions for best and worst case scenarios at the end to check the different possible outcomes.

though it's not the full talent calculation yet and as wybo explained the more real measurements the better the real calculation but this kind of educated guessing can help you to make up your mind about keeping a player or not for the whole duration.
in any case it will be a better method than just throwing a coin in the air :p

Can you upload the sheet again, the link from previous page is dead :(

The link is in the first post, and still works.

/edit: And changed the link on page 2, it has a capital T where it should be lower case :)
