Hey man, great! I'm agree about what you have wrote :)

Maybe devs can write in a topic, what they are developing in current season :)

"The point is, we don't want another soccer manager that looks prettier than sokker. Sokker has some advantages that other soccer managers doesn't have (matches viewer, tactics...), that's what it makes sokker look better than other managers... "

We don't because we're established and we know this is the best management game around. New managers will look at this site and think "Nope!" People are shallow, if you don't look like the most attractive option then they'll just ignore you.

You are Mr. No Contents?

of course I'm not the owner and this is not a spam topic, I just want to know if the users think the same as me. We everybody want the best for sokker... If you're not interested in this topic and you have nothing to contribute, please don't waste your time here :)

Sokker is dying, Sokker Belgium is already dead apart from a few active managers who keep up the appearance that we are still an active community. I believe this game is past the point of no return and will fade away slowly. Other online games will come and will blow away this one.

In fact I don't know what keeps me here. Perhaps my emotional connection to the game... Tbh, I wish I could stop playing today..

I'm totally agree with you, maybe they want to surprise us but honestly i would rather see the "next sokker improve" before doing it, to see how efficiently they are working on.

Happens the same in Chile. About 1-2 years ago, there was a lot of active users, a lot of posts to read, a lot of activity everyday. Nowadays, a couple of comments in a couple topics and that's it.

Same in Poland actually, especially amongst the top 3 leagues managers.

I think it may have gotten to the point where the brand is damaged beyond repair. A game like this is reliant on word of mouth to sustain it but after 6 years, the number of applications is only going to slow down. There isn't an infinite number of people who are interested in games like this and you have to consider how many people have signed up and not stayed.
Personally if the user numbers continue to fall I would take the game offline for a while, take a serious look at the things people aren't happy with and then relaunch with a much fresher look and a less terrible name.

The falling number of users isn't a situation unique to Sokker. Just using the obvious example of HT, they were close to 1m users at one point but have fallen back to 828k.

Fact is, Sokker has been around for 6 years now. People get bored of it, regardless of whether new features are introduced or not. There is no guarantee that features will continue to attract/retain users anyway.

That said, I have no plans on leaving Sokker, though I am but one person :)

I could have writen your post :)

I know from a lot of people who stopped playing this game after i invited them. Most of their arguments were that it was to timeconsuming to learn to understand this game. I can explain HT to them in 15 minutes, for sokker i need much more time :)
Lot of people want to play simple and fast and think all can get play high soon with as less investment as possible. That is not the case, sokker is not an easy game. So it will never very popular. And I hope it will never be as easy as HT for example....

New improvements are ok, but it has to be a real improvement. I can only speak for myself, but i think the new youth (not the matches, but the skillpublishingthing) was a real improvement. But what happens? a lot of people start complaining because it was not easy as before... No you now have to do something tho find out the possible talent. But it is more 'real' scouting juniors. But a lot of people still think it is not good.

I really like this game, and being staff I'm lucky to be privy to some news and comings and goings of the devs. What I really think will work is if the devs or admins take it upon themselves to release a monthly 'progress report' - maybe he should recruit some PR members who will participate in creating this.
It works on the only other management game I play.

So here is a summary:

Hey, we've been fairly busy this month with some changes:

What we've changed:
---
What we're changing:
---
What we are planning to change:
---

And so on.

I agree, that would be nice.

At this moment this columns with progress report will be empty ;) Last activity come from users, at least in Poland. Some of them writing a short reports from most important matches or another events. But it came from us, not staff (though staff accepted that :D)
