At this moment this columns with progress report will be empty ;) Last activity come from users, at least in Poland. Some of them writing a short reports from most important matches or another events. But it came from us, not staff (though staff accepted that :D)

It is a great manager :) Perhaps boring at a certain moment, after having achieved many trophies (or on the contrary - the frustration feeling creeps into when you writhes somewhere in the middle), though like any game, be it online or a private one, you´re fed up with it :P

its better to improve slowly than dramatically....u dont need to rush something that is good allready, for sure you can makeit better ...but dont rush things.
I like sokker the way it is,after 5 years i still not be bored, perhaps to many injuries bother me atm.

I'd really like to see more statistics and much useful homepage, office and other pages with more functionality and better cross-linking throughout whole website.

Right now, homepage is filled with information that is useless to both newcomers and old managers because new people don't understand what is written over there and old managers don't read it at all. Those news should be in office section, and on homepage should be 2-3 information intended for those who don't really know what is this game about and registration form, for instance.

Statistics would be very nice to have, specially for old users which know everything about this game already and have small number of undone things in this game. I see it as a freshener. db is full with really good data. It needs some work to get it all together to the front, but it could be easily done, I am sure.

Improvement in ME are always happening and developers will continue to work on them, so there is no worry in the future.

I've said it before but this game can never more forward at the pace required while it's run by part-timers.

I think this is the major issue: the part-time job. It's okay with me, I can understand it, I know you need money in order to build a good game. That's why I ever bought "Plus" here, and in every other games where I used to play, if I could see any prospect, of course.
I have only one expectation: football !! I mean the game to try to be a very good simulator of the real football. If it's moving faster or not into new features, I'm not so worried about, but I expect to move in the right direction. I can see great features here, unfortunately I can see very few wrong features also, which can ruin the game, in my opinion. Sokker is not an easy game, that's why sokker never will need shallow users, better a stable group of them but with the right vision and expectations......and to pay and develop the game, of course. Why's that ? Because you can make a game just for the pleasure of one fanciful game, but you can be bored of it after a while as this is the fate of every game built on fantasy, meanwhile you can make a very good real football simulator which never will give you boredom as football never lose its attraction.
Thus, I wait the devs to define themselves (their vision), because I pay money and time here, and I want to know if it's useful or not for me, I want them to work closer to the users and their good proposals, and not in the least, I want them (and I hope) to find the way to work close to professionals of the real football, otherwise sokker will be just another game, nothing else. This is my point.......and I wait.

Just dont let it die

i agree with your points. the design of the site is awful and the navigation is not intuitive. though the ME is really attractive.
if the oHTer game is terrible thing in a beautiful wrapping, then SK is a beautiful thing in a terrible wrapping.
a small incremental effort spent on design will make a huge impact!

It's subjective. To me, Sokker is fine but HT is too cartoony. The next guy might think Sokker is bland and HT is great. A change in website design is usually something driven top-down, rather than in response to user discontent.

There are a number of skins for you to try of course.

even from the basic business rules it is known that the visual look is "persuading unconsiously" the customer to buy the product. so imho the attention paid to design has to be quite high

i haven't played long yet but i'm already tired of 'bidwars at the last minute' aka 'you might not have enough money to buy a player anyway compared to others but make sure you come online when the game dictates or you're already certain someone is going to outbid you'.

it should not be hard to introduce a buy-out price set by the seller and i'm pretty sure it would help the game because from other games with an auction house i know that 90% of the players are not interested in bidding but in instant gratification and they're often willing to pay more than what something is worth when they're certain of a purchase.

That opens up cheating and such. I personally like bidwars, they are great fun :)
2010-10-29 12:30:58
Let me guess... World of Warcraft ?
2010-10-29 13:44:33
Yup, bidwars are pure fun!

sorry i've never played wow so somebody should probably shoot me :p. on my defense: i probably already know everything about wow because of all the stories so there's no need for me to play it anymore lol

Visuals are massively important to new users. I'm sticking by the idea that the game should be given a visual update and a new name, so the people who played this game when it was ugly and had no features think it's a new game and come back.
