Here we go again....draw is made for round one and it is so easy to forget about this first summer round
Does the game happen before training on the thursday or afterwards?
Ok performance from my side, but scoring was really difficult. Well, anyway I'm through for the next round. Let's see what can I do with my current team, which is clearly weaker than it was last season, but not so bad either.. :)

Clash against Pixies on thursday!!

On thursday we will play the most important match in the short history of our club. We will face Pixies in a topmatch who will decide who can go through to the 3rd round of the Champions Cup. In an earlier battle KFC Putte lost with 1-0 in a not so smooth performance. It can only go better. Our players will be definitely ready for it. Kieras, Melas and Vazquez Urrutia still struggle with some form-problems, but they will probably keep the confidence of the manager. A couple of days before the match the manager is, as always, busy with the clubs future : " We face the best clubs in the world now and we can see that we are able to perform on the same level. That's a big relief for us. Especially if you see the structure of our club. KFC Putte remains the club who launches the careers of several young players who are in the squad. We have also a social task besides that with maximal investments in the clubs youthschool. If you compare with other teams, who are still in contention in the Champions Cup, you can guess our club has a big attraction to the youngest fans in the world who praise the Clubs filosophy and are heavily attracted to KFC Putte. Older players are seen here as the guides for the best talents in the world. And that's important for us. That we still can compete on the field with the best teams shows it's the only good way to run a club and it also means that, whatever the result will be on thursday, WE CAN NEVER LOSE!"

Biggest surprise this season, and one of biggest in few seasons for me
Biggest surprise this season, and one of biggest in few seasons for me
Well, that was... interesting...
Two direct red cards, one in the very first minute and the other in the 24'. Uphill situation, and on top of that, my best players perfomed like unrecognicable youth players for great parts of the game. The "new" engine does offer more midfield play-around, which does make for occasionally beautifull games, but when the engine does its calculation the way it did today, it makes for one extremely ugly-to-look at match. As the match progressed, I was more and more expecting my best players to pick the worst possible decisions when in possesion of the ball, or to hesitate beyond reason, or to get tackled from behind in spite of being superdivine. And to see those passes coming from unearthly-divine skills... ugly.
I'm just happy I survived this nighmare (on so many levels), after the penalty shootout ended 2-3 :P
