There are several ways for (good) communication, yours is one of them.
There are means, unfortunately they aren't used.
And it's not about devs to discuss on the forum with the users, but to have a channel of communication and a feed-back.
Everywhere you have a big variety of opinions, nobody says that devs shouldn't decide the way by theirselves, point is to have everything explainable, to know what is and what will be, to know the prospects.
Here we don't have and never had a vision of devs about the game.
This is the cause in my opinion, like at a real football club where they don't do press conference anymore (no communication) and the fans became confused and suspicious (this happens in my town now).
The controversies on forum are just as a result.

Your question has one answer: trust.
Discontents grows (sometimes quite in overreacting) when trust decreases.

The DEV's get feed-back, they can see how many managers turned off the faces, that's the best feed-back they can get :) But your right managers will (probably) be more involved if they have some kind of saying in the development, however small. But still not all managers will be happy at the end and those who likes to complain will do this again and again on the forums, I don't think that will every change ;)

First of all, let me introduce you myself. I was Czech NT manager for... 5 or more seasons? After that I have interrupted playing this game for year or year and half, just logged in once a week not to be deleted, you know.

Now I am for a while completely back, again with Czech community, first time officialy with domestic U21.

I just numbered you things and changes that I dislike, with Fb I was nearly joking. This: " :D " means " Hahaha fsoler, hahaha " :D

After that lots of years I´ve been there, now I just play strictly for fun, fun, fun and nothing different. After years I wrote there something, I wrote there my opinion. You don´t got it? Nevermind. Forget about it.

I will play as I played and you didn´t find my opinions in there, if it´s so problematic for you as I see.

I meant something else and I was talking more in generally than just for the faces implementation.

Me too, it's not only about the faces indeed.

These included a substantial improvement of the match engine, a change in new teams' league assignment system, etc. But the only changed that lead to a true flood of sokker forums is... players' faces

+1 Great improvements and most of people are happy, so they don't write to complain.

i already turned them off, but on match report page when my mouse over some player, there is a popup with his blach photo. how can i absolutely turn it off?
