a little theory here to see if anyone else has witnessed the same.
I switched to training defence 4 weeks ago and since then my form has went down overall to -100 and something. I switched to pace yesterday and it has went to +10 in form. Another scottish user has experienced the exact same situation when switching to training defence.
Anyone else noticed this?

There is a theory that pace keeps better form but lowers the stamina. something like that, im not quite sure about it :)
hmm, hmm... I checked osokker, as I sold the player... trained def for a couple of weeks, I bought the player with divine form, trained him in def til he poped to divine (around 8 weeks), he went to 7-8 form.
switched to tech training, rised to 12 form, but then dropped again to good-solid (now adequate, in other team)

it happened to me once my incredible was at superdivine form and traing defence has broughth it down but my defence got better

if you have unearthly head coach in stamina it will rise ~+1 every season
0 in stamina head coach it goes ~-1 per season
probably excellent is around +/- 0 per season
there will be drops and jumps

@rtg. maybe you are playing players in diff positions as it doesnt matter as much when training pace...?

i've heard that stamina general training is affected when training pace. i dunno if its true :) just rumours as i remember.
today my two players lost stamina , my head coach trains magic in stamina. and i train pace:) it sounds that rumour is right
yea i myself had 2 stamina loses in this season. head coach stamina skill is unearthly. As far as i remember when training other skill no player lost stamina in my team.
i had +2 stamina and (amongst other pops) +2 pace pops today ... yes i train pace with a coach with unearthly pace and stamina and no i have not seen any 'weird' stamina drops so far (though i would like to see more random pops on that).
current form is 11.5 average, comes from 10.4. though individual players can vary a lot the average is quite steady when you have 22 players like many pace trainers have. i just kick the guys which are out of form to the b-squad to wake them up :p

its complete lies.
as i said its +1 average over season. yes there are decreases, but in general you will have more increases than decreases over a season.
i had a crappy coach in stamina for 2 seasons also, when i couldnt afford better, and every season i was losing lots of stamina. ~-1 stamina per player in 16-20 weeks

I thought this thread was about form and not about stamina. So here are my 2 cents:
Last season I trained defense and the average team form was almost 2 levels higher than right now. At the moment I'm training pace. That means that it must the other way around or it's really just random (what I actually believe in).

I think there are a big big random factor, but see this as a possibility..... player A likes two games a week... player B likes one game a week.... player C likes playing as MID.... player D likes active training as playmaker..... and thereby a lot of different solutions on each player, making your team as a whole random in form, but if look at each player there are some ways of improving form.... but just a theory....
