Subject: much injuries and red cards

2012-05-11 11:46:02
I argue enouf in my private life, did not want to come here and respond to every comment that does not fit my story about this. Which normal person in sokker does not want less injuris and less red cards? We all want to enjoy this game as much as we can and excape from real life and relax a little, but then shit happens and playes got injured and red cars given and more people leaving sokker . . .

Totaly agree with you i did not read all pages youst came here to say my point of view and dont need no one to tell me if it its right or wrong.

and how do you explain then that the game has only 50 000 managers ?

Many things, as I already mentioned in another post:

More competition in online soccer games? Outdated looks of the site? To complicated to play for the majority of new signed up managers? Less people interested in online (soccer) games? Not enough promotion is done lately? To much complaining over things (things that managers can solve partly themselves by using better tactics and players) which makes other managers to leave Sokker? etc. etc.

I can do a lot more assumptions why the number of managers has dropped, but we don't know as it is never been fully investigated.

I understand you point of view but you stand alone here my friend, there is to many people complaning and leaving sokker cous of that! So if DEV's wants to have less users and less PLUS managers than they should say that, or youst make some changes and we will all be happy managers. :D

See my last post to Sava :) We have no idea why managers are leaving and you absolutely can't say injuries and cards are the main reason. It's a normal proces people stop playing games, for all kind of reasons. The main problem is not enough people who visit the Sokker site start playing Sokker and those new managers who did register don't login after the first time or not at all, to replace the managers who quit Sokker. So non of these people/new managers know a thing about injuries and cards as they never have seen their team play a match, so injuries and cards simply can't be the reason why the number of managers is dropping. There is some other important reason why this is happening.

I think the reason is the outdated look of Sokker and the not so user-friendliness of the site because of the layout, but also the complexity and boring long text in Rules and the lack of a good explanation to new managers. And probably some more reasons that I forget as we don't know them why to less new managers are starting to play.

well, no idea... if the results here don't give any explication, of course nobody will never have any idea.

just here, 350 managers take the time to answer to a question, 67% think too many red cards and injuries in the game and 27% think to leave it because of it. it's a lot more than nothing for me.

find the ideal post for players and let more space between players, you may escape from unusual injuries

what about red cards?
too more

27% think to leave it because of it. it's a lot more than nothing for me

I'm quite sure that at all not even 1% will leave the game because of injuries and red cards. The result in this poll is a kind of protest from the users to show dissatisfaction with the injuries and cards.

Injuries are okey imho, but the cards should be more "logical". Whether it's a foul or not does somehow depend on the skills, but whether it's a yellow or red card or no card is just by hazard.
And even if the last guy fouls, he often doesn't get a red card...

the distribution of red cards is a bit stupid, more than 1 red card in a game should be REALLY rare, and 3 red cards in one game should be (almost) impossible.

Friendly: last friday

U21 - national team

match 44:

Red Card - 16
Injury - 31

I hope that today will be less injuries...

Imo all you, who whine and complain about injuries and red cards, take this GAME too seriously. Of course, we all get sometimes (some more, some less) pissed off about those things (fe our star player/trainee gets a 30 days injury etc and it ruines our plans etc etc etc)... We just have to deal with that fact and move on, thats all. (Just like IRL) The current ME should be a bit more realistic (early and stupid red cards etc), I agree, but can it be done? If yes, then when? Only time will show... But remember, it is only a GAME.

Anyway, I think this topic should be closed, because this so called discussion isnt healthy at all for the community. At least I get mainly negative emotions from here. Those kind of talkings should be made by autohirized users and in the right environment/place, who have all the needed data (see the whole picture) and who can really change something, because this topic surelly isnt changing a thing! (Perhaps only kill some nerves etc, lol) Of course, it is good, that there are so many users, who want good for Sokker and make it even better/improve it (less random), to get positive exp, but that is not the best way imo...

I point out the big problem in the game. I do not want to dies Sokker, but he goes in that direction.
I secretly wanted to explain to people with Sokker, but the forum was closed because of spam - which is not true!

Now let the people vote and let the public say what they think.

Unbelievable how many injuries, no wonder people give up of Sokker.

IMHO, injuries and the amount of them is not "the big problem in te game". It's all a matter of how you play, how you build your squad, which tactic you play, ... in order to minimize the effect injuries have on your squad and the games you play.

I for one, have had only 2 injuries so far this season, and both were rather short. This for sure is not too much during a complete season. I agree that sometimes you pull the short straw and injuries just seem to keep coming, but an unlucky season does not mean an unlucky year (at least, in sokker it doesn't).

BTW: remember that the way you organise your tactics, you can influence chances of having injuries.

Oh yeah: IMO the big problem in the game still is the design, which scares users away from the first time they login. It still looks as though it has been implemented even before the internet existed, and I hope something can be done about this rather sooner then later
2012-05-11 22:33:13
You can not convince me of that.
The last three seasons I have a great many injuries and red cards.
There were all sorts of tactics result is the same - injuries and red cards.

2012-05-11 22:37:52
Well, there are two options (or perhaps more):

1) You are an extremely unlucky guy in this game, beating general statistics and being one of the outliers (and perhaps therefore very lucky with women :p)

2) You're tactics are based on a similar gameplan, perhaps causing you're to run with the ball very often, causing you to get more injuries than average.

And since you only have these injuries since 3 seasons: what are you doing different compared to 3 seasons ago?
2012-05-11 22:57:33
one season was good.
until two years ago, I was not paying attention at all to.

I am not here just for themselves. have evidence I'm right.

World Cup Qualifiers - 2012-05-05 - week 13

of the 46 games we have:

- 40 injuries and
- 28 red card
_________________________

Friendly: last friday - week 13
U21 - national team

match 44:

Injury - 31
Red Card - 16

do you really think that 90% did not know tactics?
2012-05-11 23:03:28
It's not about not knowing tactics, because tactics with higher injury proneness might actually be very good, successful tactics. I'm not here to judge anyone on their knowledge. All I want to say is that injuries is a matter of statistics. For most people, the amount of injuries doesn't pose a problem. If you're an outlier, then I refer to the 2 options of the previous post.

BTW: Though I like and encourage the fact that you want to verify your thoughts by hard numbers, keep in mind that using numbers from a small dataset isn't representative. Data of arouns 1000 matches can give yuo an idea if handled correctly

This is no small statistics.
It is a 100% match of the day - friday and saturday.

I agree that on Sundays there are many more matches...
