Subject: much injuries and red cards

2012-05-14 20:54:04
Would you consider my team or league as weak? May I ask you to check maybe the last 2 seasons of my team and see how many cards I get, and how many injuries I suffer. It is possible to play on an acceptable high level (I'm still not at the top, I know), without suffering from the problems all of you seem to have. And this is true for more managers (our champion in eerste klaase in Belgium was a good example, but he sold his entire team a week ago)

Well, I really believe that the story of tactics works.

- if you make your players give the ball away quickly, it is way less likely that your player gets injured, otherwise if you cut the ways your players might play, they will be more likely to be keeping the ball for long and the injury rate is logically higher (my attitude for this is, that the most height levels of your midfielders you use, the faster the passes are)

- higher defence line means more cards: it is quite logical as well I think

Then we might also combine it with skills of players - if you have high technician with quite low pace, he is also more likely to get injured. He is tackled way more often than others - once he gets tackled, he might keep the ball but another player might come in.

Bad placement of strikers and midfielders also influence their injuries - if you make them get the ball in tough positions, they are more likely to be hesitating. Hesitating means either running straight to the defenders, or stepping at one place - in both cases some dangerous situation might appear.

There is more to be said, but I think even these things might change your opinion about our stories ;)

Are you saying that you don't want to play high defense beacause it's agressive and you want to let superdivine striker score from 30 m? Or player with divine play and pass will hesitate not haveing the options? This is not the game i like... sorry! I hope i can whinne about it since i pay for plus membership...

First of all, how many managers in this topic complaining about injuries and cards are playing in the highest divisions with the most skilled players as possible?

And secondly, is the national team a good example for you when talking about skilled players in highest divisions? National teams brings me to my next example: why does Kobra 79 complain about the injuries and cards for the Srbija national team, while the Dutch national team doesn't have this problem at all? Is this about being lucky or not, or do they both have to deal with the same ME, only anaconda is doing something better with tactics as Kobra 79 does?

And thirdly, thanks ostulc, you made some good points I didn't mentioned yet in my post about skills and tactics.

I have no problem in the Serbian national team.
I'm satisfied with injuries and red cards.

I see no reason, why the number of red cards should be lowered for those who want to play really high defence. It is some kind of a risk, take it as it is. Nobody forces you not to play it, but be ready to cope with the red cards of your defenders. I offered you my opinion, you don't have to agree, but believe me - I know what I am talking about ;)

Charles Hill to All
An idea I also already posted in the Forum Sokker Linguists: introduce 'Game play' in the match orders, with 3 options how the team must play: 'Careful', 'Normal' and 'Hard'....

All options should only have effect on your own team performance, so playing 'Hard' won't give the opponent more cards or more injuries.

This option can solve the problem of people getting a lot of cards and injuries, and can also prevent managers from using the cornertactic, as injuries won't happen that often anymore during friendly matches.

Hehe troll got caught!!!

If you quote me you also have to inform the managers in what kind of discussion I have came up with this idea. It was a point I made as an answer to the cornertactic, as greg is thinking about giving managers a penalty on training for using the cornertactic (mostly used in friendly matches to prevent injuries and cards to optimize trainingresults)! I don't think a penalty on training is the right to do as everyone should be allowed to choose their own tactic, even the cornertactic. And this idea could be one solution to prevent managers for using it (or in combination with the penalty for using the cornertactic).

But ofcourse it could also be used by those who don't want to change their failing tactic in official matches.

EDIT: ggaarrii, you could have known why I made this point, if you read the topics on the Forum Sokker Linguists and/or test server.

I don't watch and do nothing while the whiners are ruining Sokker with their lies about not being able to reduce injuries and cards themselves but only by a ME change, which is the complete opposite way of solving your own problems.

Would you consider my team or league as weak? May I ask you to check maybe the last 2 seasons of my team and see how many cards I get

Weren't you the one who complained that he would like to see a greater sample than 160 sokker matches?

The point is this: AVERAGES. There are 2,5 more red cards per match than in RL and they happen at any minute equally. I don't have data for injuries but my feeling is the same as for cards. They are also too frequent during the matches. There is not too many players injured before the match but all injuries happen during the match and we don't have enough influence DURING the match to react. And when this happens in an important match you prepared for and waited 1 week, then you don't want to play any more. I don't even like winning such a match.

Do you think that there is too much injuries and red cards in this game?
Yes. 37% (146)
No. 28% (108)
No! Actually, it should be more! 9% (35)
Yes! Sometimes I want to leave the game because of that. 26% (103)

Until now the most of the percent..believes that is a problem and they destroy..evere good opinion about injuries.26%+37%=63%.So there is a problem and it is big..
