Funny you should mention it, I was thinking the same thing. Tactically there are other things that make the "Dirty Dirty Leeds" tactic make sense. My team is actually perfect for this kind of game, there is no player with lower than outstanding defender in my starting 11. My team is fast and strong and can pass the ball well, but is not really a playmaking type of team. And I like to have lots of depth, so injuries are not so much of a concern, and against a superior opponent are more likely to favour me than my opponent. I still touched up my field for this season, but its something to think about :)
How do I change the NT stadium? Please don't tell me we have to play on the crappy grass.
Please. in 2D visualization this changes will be visibles?
anyone else have their stadium page not displaying the value of seating on the top left?

Grass Type - Cost - Maximum Condition
Garden Grass - 50 000 k Rp - 50%
Amateur sport and park grass - 100 000 k Rp - 60%
Semi-professional buffallo grass - 250 000 k Rp -70%
Professional blue grass - 500 000 k Rp - 80%
Finest professional bermuda grass - 1 000 000 k Rp - 90%
Angel Grass - 1 250 000 k Rp - 100%
yeah, i agree that the maximum condition we will get is according to which kind of grass we buy.
and the maintenance (low or high) is a feature to accelerate the recovery of the pitch since it's will be recover automatically and the pace of the recovery is depend on the weather.
although there hasn't an official explanation from the devs, but if we look carefully to those who hadn't held a home game last wednesday, they have a ~52% pitch condition where others who held a game on their pitch had a ~41% - 45% pitch condition now. and this ~10% reduction is on the garden grass lawn (the cheapest one).
so for the next week we will see how much the degrade percentage of middle and high quality grass.
and if we took the explanation on the news:
"Also, different types of grass will have a different maximum condition. For example, garden grass will not reach much more than 50% of condition, so it will not be as good."
it's means that if we want to have a 100% pitch condition then we must buy the expensive one because if we only buy, let's say the Professional blue grass who have a 80% condition, then it's maximum condition is ~80% and won't get to 100%. CMIIW

maintenance dropped from 100 to 95%
Pitch condition raised from 52% to 53%
I do not see the costs of the maintenance on the finance sheet, but when i look in sokker organizer and compare, the costs are paid.
I clicked on the 50% maintenance for today, to see if it is a raise of 50% or a fixed 50%

mmm... interesting.
I think this change will be the most important of the last seasons, specially the size of the pitch.

We both had similar weather, but I think I gained more % because you are closer to the maximum condition of your pitch (which for garden grass should be around 55%)
