I agree that changes like more short passing and less dangerous crossing are going into the right direction. However, there are still big problems. For example, look at the World Cup game Germany-Russia: It was just silly how the Russian mids kept passing sideways, giving Russia 61% possession, but only 3 shots on goal. The new ME actually looks nice in games with relatively deep defensive lines, but it's almost impossible to play against a high defense because the strikers never get the ball. Adding more mids instead of defenders won't help - in fact it will make it worse because there will be even more useless sideways passing. That's something that needs to be fixed, along with the horrible penalty kicks and silly 40 meter backpasses from the opponent's penalty box.
Also, the games now look way to slow in 2D. Why not make the players a little bigger in 3D and increase the speed again? That would fix two problems at once - small players in 3D and low speed in 2D.

Exactly. It's a good direction but development of ME takes time. If it keeps developing in that direction, I am all for it. If it stops right here, then it probably would have been better if it just remained the way it was before because of general dislike of current changes.
In any case, regardless of how some things don't make much sense atm, ME is now closer to RL football than it was before. I think that the fuss and the dislike is really exaggerated. My view is that users got so much used to the previous ME that they perceive its old mistakes as their own while these new mistakes now seem too strange to them and that is mostly why they dislike them so much. It's sort of a "catch 22" present here. Users mostly complain that ME should be developped but when it finally happens, then they mostly complain that development is not a straightforward process improving ME in all its aspects.

ME It`s not same for all cause you have different selection of players and that selection was based on the old ME !!!!
Well said snake, couldn't agree more. Especially as a striker trainer with not so decent forwards, I struggle to find opportunities atm. Would love to be the underdog and not training Atts right now, I'd just put a 5-4-1 or sth and see my opponent losing his nerves despite having a better squad. Unfortunately, I'm not the undertog at the moment, on contrary, I had a good chance to fight for the title this season - but the next games are going to be pure lottery until I find some adaption to the new ME (if I can at all).

This is the essence of my reasoning that you need to understand, and I think I have a right to have this opinion. I am seperating the two things: reality - soccer chess, soccer chess - reality. Remember the text on the frontpage of Sokker? "Bored of football reality?..." Yes. Imo, Sokker should not try to approach football reality. Football reality should try to approach Sokker. Much more entertaining, or do you really IRL prefer an Italian desert walk of 1-0 instead of an old-school brazillian 6-5 match? ;)
IRL, it is always a dangerous situation when a winger is on the loose and has passed the defense, but it appears next to useless now here in Sokker, and remember that many of us that has stated that in various topics has wingers that simply cannot get any better (my own has the MID record rating of 94 and is currently in top form). Yes, headers was maybe a little too dangerous before, but as Marcodona so rightfully says, going from one extreme (Winger rule) to another (Winger sucks) does not make a wrong right. This is/was a tactical chess game on a Sokker field, so descreasing the number of tactical options seems contradictive. I agree that somewhere in the middle would have been the best. So what if a Sokker match looks more real now, when it comes at the expense of many tactical aspects.

No, but real soccer is not what Sokker used to offer.

I prefere this manager instead the others because other online manager is too similar with real soccer and this manager always offers too many tactital varieties so this is ehat I like here and the point because of I still play it :-)
