I looked at some statistics because I couldn't quite believe greg's statement that the number of shots went down by 20% and the number of goals also by 20% (meaning conversion rate has remained about the same). That may be true for lower leagues, but certainly not for strong ones.

I compared the first 5 rounds of this season with the last 5 rounds of the previous season in the Austrian Bundesliga and Italian Serie A (I chose those leagues because they don't have weak teams who lose by big margins, which could skew the statistics). The trends were similar in both leagues, the combined numbers are: The average number of shots went down by 14% (from 18,5 to 16), the conversion rate by 30% (from 29% to 21%) and the number of goals by 39% (from 5,29 to 3,22). I don't know how much it has been improved yesterday, but almost 40% less goals is certainly dramatic and must clearly lead to more random results.

This match engine has to go , simple as that

if you have a spare 5 minutes watch my cup match vs Bruce City - the ball acted like nothing i have ever seen before , so many stupid bounces , i also have a reserve playing in midfield , he has divine pace and looking at him you would think it was tragic

I just watched that match and it's great! This is exactly Barca - Chelsea match and the winning club's name is even the same. They had a perfect tactic for winning this match and the necessary luck. Most of these 27 shots were very difficult ones through many defenders. On the other hand, Chelsea's attacks were much more dangerous and if the attacker wasn't pushed so much up in defense phase, some of these offsides would change into even more of dangerous counterattacks. I mean, Chelsea was leading 3:0 until 84th minute! What are we talking about here!? This is a deserved victory. This is now exactly like in real football. Football is such a popular sport because you can win matches like this.

It's really funny how you guys keep posting this marketing slogan "Bored with football reality?" as some kind of a mission statement for sokker. That slogan doesn't mean that sokker will try to be different than real football but it is only trying to attract people who want to play a virtual football manager game. So, the next sentence after "Bored with football reality?" should be "Play sokker - virtual football!" and not "Play sokker - anti-football!" ;)

yeah i had the privilege to see the same in one of my recent games. the trajectory of ball was like S or C
but you have to admit it is a nice try to make a more realistic weather/pitch condition :D

the things to play a "virtual" football its to play something wich be could better than the real football wich has many mistakes and many ways of plays

this ME its just let you playing in the most boring way. Try to play quick its impossible, all kind of plays ends in a single way now wich is in a nosense passing and poor shooting quality and if you like it its your problem, then be happy with this ME and let us who dont like this ME (a lot of people) complain all we want until this game dies.

Venezuelan comunity has lot of users that are about to quite sokker because of this, the game is for entertainment not for sitting and see how some people see as much like to see this game convert it in something bored.

I´ll understand if a bunch of users complained of this ME but we aren´t a bunch, there´s a lot of users that dont like and explained why, and many of this users have a lot of experience of this game, so why the heck don´t listen them?

well, in real life, this where some staff/Devs and user want sokker.org to be, there's a minimum pitch condition in every professional football competition.

so, the pitch below 50% condition where the ball get bouncing weirdly is not acceptable in any professional or even semi-pro league in this world.

we pay a lot of money for the players, so i assume this is a professional club that we manage for at this game and in a professional competition too.

how many soccer matches have been played with snow on the pitch or when there is heavy rain?

you couldn't be more wrong... like in RL here you can pay for better pitch and the ball wont bounce weird

the problem is, those weird ball bouncing in this game are not influenced because of the bad weather or snow or whatever the natural forecast is but because of the fatigue of the pitch.

every professional clubs do a pitch maintenance at least to fulfill its league/competition regulation each week. and when a very poor pitch condition were happening before kick off because of the bad weather, the match itself gets postponed.

The 'new' 2D viewer looks GREAT now that the giants are normal sized players, but OFCOURSE always some will complain and start acting as drama queens .........
