well i'm not sure it's allready there because some actions do not seem to make sense for my weak b-squad, guess it's related to what's considered to be a 'normal' skilllevel, not sure what to make of the the automatic 'attacker tracker' mode for defenders either but i'm glad/surprised both my 2 youngster strikers could score even though i took a deserved loss. i'd say these goals were of the 'insightfull instant long distance kick' type, which was a rather clumsy looking concept in previous me versions but it's starting to look more realistic now :)

the result of match are too much random!!

I want that the strikers make more goals when there is a 1VS1 agaist the opponent keeper (and there isn't a def that disturb him)!!

of course it's too random but i'm not going to complain about 1vs1 when my b-strikers frequently manage to shoot at the corner flags (when it comes to realism i can say i did that kind of bad kick once in my whole youth football 'carreer' and i'm in no way gifted lol) so i'm currently allready happy when they manage to score in 'some way' :p

Usually I dont like whining, but I just finished watching my league game and it ruined my day basically. (At least for some time for sure!)

Because of the fact, that my defender from 1st teams didnt get a slight injury today, I decided to use 100% same tactics and line-up, than I did last week. I didnt check, but I think, it was the same with my opponent too. Only player`s forms are different than last Sunday.

Anyway - last weekend I lost 5:1. Shots 12:11 to me. http://online.sokker.org/comment.php?matchID=19421649

Today the final score was 2:3 (for my opponent of course). The shots were 20:9 to me. What can I say? I dominated the game, but my strikers in superdivine form (magical and unearthly striking) couldnt score enough, thats all. Also, IMO atm there are a bit too many shots, what hit the goal structure. GK saves (OK, my opponent had a strong GK today too) and missed - well, they are part of the game and a big random anyway. I managed to fight myself to 2:2, but what happened next, was "hilarious". My opponent scored on 90th minute, lol... Well, at least I scored from penalty shot, lol. Probably 1st time this season by the way.

I know, that my tactics wasnt perfect against him (should have covered his wingers better and some other stuff), but still. This wasnt normal, what I saw today... (Perhaps I let my emotions to dominate right now, so sorry, if my text bothered you or something. Sometimes it is better to share things (read: problems) you know, rather holding them inside)

To sum up - Sokker is random and it has screwed my a lot recently.

I don't understand the criticism of too few goals from 1vs1 situations. I've seen a lot of games this season with one team having 15:3 shots or so and still losing, because the 3 shots were 1vs1 and the 15 headers or long-range shots. It was a problem in the old engine that headers had almost the same chance of going in as 1vs1s, but in the new one I actually feel that it has gone a bit too far in the other direction.

The fact is that, in real soccer there are a lot of reasons for a result. Random has it's share but there is a lot of other reasons that people don't know and blame random. There is a lot less random in real soccer than people think. Or is it a coincidence Brazil winning World Cup 58, 62 and 70? Spain winning last WC and 2 European Cups?

So the fact is that there is much less random in real soccer than people think. Those who played soccer for a long time knows it very well. Unfortunately, all of these reasons cannot be simulated in a game like this without making it too complicated. But if you increase random to be responsable to all of these reasons that people don't know calling it "realistic" is a poor vision of soccer and the game is much less interesting.

I had time to watch some matches today and it seems that even if you change a lot of your tactic, it only can increase a very, very small chance to win. It's only about team quality and random. For example, I played last week against a team that almost don't login. My team played better but it was a draw. I changed a lot the tactic and the team played better than last week, but it only represents a very small part of the game. Since I didn't buy any new player random decided for a draw again. It was not games like 20x1 shots, it was 7x3 but good enough to disencourage me to change tactics.

To conclude, sorry this is too long, the match is about good players and random (tactics is very, very small part of the game). The game itself become more of tranining and market to get good players, the match itself is very disapointing right now.

It is so sad when bad things happens to good games...

I think the playability of this game has suffered a lot for the sake of the so called "realism" idea. Yes, I'm still thinking specifically about the auto-covering defender thing. The opponent can have wide gaps in his defense where a good analyzing manager would place his strikers, but unless the gaps are VERY wide, the defenders will auto-adjust and block. There are ways of fooling/nulify the auto-covering auto-pilot thing, but those tactical setups just looks ridiculous and not at all realistic - which was the point of the change right?

I see a lot of 'random' in your post. Sokker is a program based on a lot of data, I wonder how you want to program a lot of random in data ;)

When I use really different tactics I can absolutely see this during the matches. For example a 4132 tactic with 4 DEFs in line and 1 DEF in front of them and 3 controlling MIDs gives a completely different match as a 3232 tactic with 3 DEFs and 2 DEFs in front of them and 3 more forward MIDs.

Another thing I think to see during matches is that wing-ATTs are more playing like the wing-MIDs in the old ME, wing-ATTs do try to reach the goalline and give passes to the other ATT(s). So playing with a 433 or 343 tactic could work out better as we are used to. And because of the auto-defense 5 DEFs in line aren't needed anymore, 3 or 4 should be enough.

The wing-ATT is acting like in old ME, meaning like stupid one, and i will explain:he will run with the ball directly to the GK and i have seen a lot of this sh..t:) or shots from impossible angle... even if the wing-att is with mid order and have nice b skills (passing,pm - i mean over brilliant)

other things that i don't understand:

mid's from freekick are shoting from long range/short range, but a striker from short range (16-20m) is trying to pass the ball ???? i have even seen shots from mid's and the freekick was close to the corner.. wtf??:))

I have seen my wing-ATTs reaching the goalline and give passes to the other ATT(s) way more often as my wing-MIDs with this new ME. My wing-MIDs don't even make it to the goalline, they pass the ball to others asap when a DEF comes a bit to close to them :/

Then maybe the problem is at my players:) or as you have say already, thousand of games are played, so you can't really make a good idea from only 1 game, but the post from above was only my observation.
