Subject: »Do you like the new ME?

2012-08-05 15:48:13
I put my DEFs in midfield today and placed three -18y olds with mostly only pace (other skills average to give an example) as defenders . 2 of the -18 were placed against the line, the other one was my third def with for example average DEF. 1 of my 2 other DEFs has hopeless form.
And guess what : I won against number 2 on full strength. :-) Very funny

Offcourse this is only an isolated case and must not be taken as an example for the general behaviour of the ME....

If anyone wants any further experiments, just let me know... I don't care anymore...

stop crying!
2012-08-05 16:00:55
haha :)... Why would I... I'v seen enough in the 7 years I've been here...

I built this team very carefully doing great jobs on the transfermarket, gaining more money every year to buy a topplayer every season to complete a nice team... To finally win matches like today against the strongest teams in Belgium in my case.
In this matchengine the worst teams are totally advantaged. Teams who aren't busy with their teams and have ratings of 15 % less, have far better chances in the matches, etc... In the cup you can see it the the best. 25 chances against 3 and still 1-1 after 119 minutes... Better strikers get better chances in better positions against worse GK and score less than worse strikers who get worse chances against better GK. And it's not the case in only one match... To me it was very clear in the last 4 matches I played in the two directions... Sometimes I won, sometimes I lost...
I haven't trained that good, I haven't searched that well on the TL... I haven't spend that much time on this game to lose matches in this way...

And please don't begin about tactics... It's about matches with far more and better chances for the losing team... Again and again... Stupidities of TOPmids making very wrong decisions, Topdefs who look like amateurs against strikers with a third of the value...

!00% agree. I still try watching the (2D) matches, but I keep regreting it afterwards. So much stupidity going on in the field, and so little difference between top-top lvl players and amateurs. Today I thought "why do I have these two expensive strikers in front together with Yarburg on the wing?
Todays match: I scored 13% higher rating than my opponent, and my opponent had to play with his 36 y old reserve striker. But...

My opponent's 36 y old reserve striker: Mauro Poioco managed to produce half the chances that my team produced (7 vs 14) and several of his chances were quite big even. And no it wasn't due to my opponent's midfield. No it was simply because my defenders had great trouble with this guy. They missed their tackles on him, had trouble even catching him, and were even tackled themself by him (they all 3 have between 11 and 13 in techinque). In essence his old reserve striker with low value appeared to be playing just as good as my strikers :-o

And here's my front that on the contrary had great problems loosing defenders and especially scoring: Charlie Humble, Aleksander Daukszewicz, and wing Mikel Yarburg.

The match ended 4-2 to me, but god... it was unbearable to watch, and even harder to swallow that that opponent striker was able to do what he did. It really feels like a game of russian roulette, simply.

The greg's worshipers are still not here to tell us how whiners we are ?

And please don't begin about tactics

On the Dutch forum something is posted that has been found out, so yeh, tactics can make a difference if you know what to do, so tactic can still make you win or loose matches :)

Offcourse it will make a difference, but I only want to say that, presuming I would have bad tactics for this ME, I still should win this kind of matches seen the number of enormous chances for toplevel striker(s).
2012-08-05 18:05:16
Could be ofcourse, specially if your opponents keep using old ME tactics. But I'm pretty sure that in a couple of weeks playing as you did today will make you loose matches when you face opponents that do change their tactics to fit the new ME, as managers will start to understand what does and doesn't work to well with this ME, just as managers found out with the old ME which things did and didn't work to well :)

Do you really think that in a country like Belgium there are more than 10 users that busy with tactics? Personally I don't think so...
2012-08-05 18:13:15
I really don't know :) But those who do and post these findings on the forum will make others understand the ME also.

Groene Smurf shouldn't have won that game in any decent ME.. He played with basically no defense! doesn't matter if opponent played according to old or new ME.. This game should be LOGICAL.. Putting defs in offense and players with highest tech in defense and that kind of crap isn't logical so if that's your idea of adjusting to new ME then I'm not sure what to think of that.. ridiculous comes to mind though.

Defenders should still need defense / pace as main skills and tech/pm/pass as secondaries.. It's the most LOGICAL.. main job is to intercept the ball right? jah.. That didn't change I suppose? :p

Knowing this, experienced players can make good tactics and put the right kind of players on the right positions.. I've seen too many ILLOGICAL stuff in games with this new ME.. Just weird shit basically. There should be certain rules like a magical defense defender can almost always stop an attacker with magical or less technique when they tackle from the front. From behind this defender will have more trouble getting the ball.. like he would need at least 2 levels higher def to successfully intercept the ball from behind. With these type of rules, we can build ourselves a team and we would know what to expect from them and make tactics accordingly. This USED TO BE how sokker worked.. It had LOGIC. Now I feel like players are behaving too randomly..

you are a funny guy ¬¬

look at my tactician proposal this season... always the same tactic. I'm the leader by 4 points advantage. Do you think spanish top level users are stupids with tactics?
2012-08-05 22:48:47
Wasn't meant to be funny. But if you think that is was funny you have a weird sense of fun, but I'm glade to have make your day ...

Don't know if they are stupid, or maybe your tactic is better as your opponents, or your opponents don't get the new ME yet, or many of the players of your opponents aren't enough multiskilled. Could be a different number of reasons why you are number one, but mostly, be happy you are number 1 I would say.
2012-08-05 23:02:17
But does that say everything about his team/tactic and nothing about the opponent? If you want to talk about logical and illogical, to think only 1 team influences a match is completely illogical.

And maybe you should let go a bit more the old ME and skills needed in the old ME and think more in multiskilled players and learn to get to know the new ME instead of refering to something that is the past and not relevant anymore.

Oh, and using CAPITALS doesn't make me understand your text better .......

If you have so much to say about the ME, post bugs and problems in the right topic the right way so it can be used to show the DEVs, if not, your spend time to write this text was kinda useless (useless in different ways btw).
