Subject: »Do you like the new ME?
But does that say everything about his team/tactic and nothing about the opponent? If you want to talk about logical and illogical, to think only 1 team influences a match is completely illogical.
And maybe you should let go a bit more the old ME and skills needed in the old ME and think more in multiskilled players and learn to get to know the new ME instead of refering to something that is the past and not relevant anymore.
Oh, and using CAPITALS doesn't make me understand your text better .......
If you have so much to say about the ME, post bugs and problems in the right topic the right way so it can be used to show the DEVs, if not, your spend time to write this text was kinda useless (useless in different ways btw).

maybe you should... think more in multiskilled players
Going for multi-skilled players is old news for me. I have always done that, and I am pretty sure Mourinho and grmbl is no foreigners to multiskills too.
and learn to get to know the new ME
Its easier to analyse the roll of a dice and understand all things that influences it, so that you are able to replicate the throw over and over again. The new ME is a random ping-ponginess of stupid decisions like never before and contains no more realism than the old one - except for the final result maybe. But that doesn't even hold true - last week my match ended 7-4 to me, 7 min. before the end, it was 4-4 (which was already unfair) and I then managed to score 3 goals in 7 minutes. Now thats realistic yes.
instead of refering to something that is the past and not relevant anymore.
I keep hoping that the devs say "ok, we tried it but failed miserably. Time to cut our loses and take a step back".

I dont read this thread...... but I like new ME.
IT has more actions, there is more activity in the ground and everything is more logical.
Of course, you need new tactics thinkink and maybe new players. For example, the best progress is in ATT, they are "normal" now, so new modern att needs also Playmaking and passing now. Playmaking is now more important in all position of course.
So, who think that new ME is bad, just look on my match and enjoy it, that is all :-).
(Of course, there are a lot of bugs, not in engine especially, but in game, second null tactics and other bugs and of course staff here is too amateurs to solve it well, also testing new improvements is too weak and shameful, but this has nothing with ME, ME is good and I like it ! )

i started to train strikers in MID for tech, they play like crap, we shoot 3 times, another 10 times we made a backpass from in front of the goal...
This must be corrected, because with MID order they almost cant score, and otherwise how to train mid for strikers? in att?

I started play on 3 ATT, cos now ATT play with intelligence, so they play little more like offmid :-)!
So it is mistake training att as MID and be angry on their stupidity :-). They can score, but if they have chance to make pass (also backpass), which they consider maybe better that shooting, they will do it.
If you think that pass was stupid, tell me answer on this: Has that ATT playmaker skill above 12 at least ? If not, dont be surprise. It is like I was your att playing as MID, I would always rather pass back, cos I am not sure if I am able shoot goal, I have little stamina for that :-DDD

hm attackers with mid orders unable to score? in would have agreed after some matches but don't ask me why this happened last match
9 Gavrilo Nenezić MID
41 3 10% 16% 2 goals (1 on penalty)
10 Norbert Klinik ATT
51 16 11% 4% 0 goals
11 Pauwel Van de Vonder ATT
49 5 12% 12% 0 goals

problem for me is not the percentage of shoot/goals, the number of shoots!
we made 3 shoots on goal, and about 10 passes when it should be kicked:(

its obvious 523 is the way to go, because it seems random forward kicking and let any striker wreck a defense is way more succesful than actually building an attack where at some point a short pass will be miscontrolled, whatever tech level the player has, and the opponent runs off with it. Also, with 3 strikers, any of them will at least tackle any def at least 3 times during a match. And without mids, you dont have the risk that they give perfect through running passes to your opponent instead of to your own strikers. Only thing that can go bad is the really realistic 1v1 finishing ratio as I noticed once again this weekend.

not 523 but 433, 4 defs are enough, while having 3 mids not 2 will let you dominate in the centre and have more balls delivered to the strikers.
... another 10 times we made a backpass from in front of the goal...
So, knowing this, put 1 or 2 player(s) (atts and/or mids) behind the most forward striker(s) so a backpass from the striker(s) will go to one of these players and not all the way back to defmids or defs ;)
This must be corrected,
Why do the ME has to change if you can change your tactic to prevent it from happening?
This is really a perfect example of what I meant by getting to know this new ME and use it to your advantage in stead of asking for ME changes :)

actually havent seen any stupid backapasses in my league games with this engine. Using 2 strikers:
magical form
formidable stamina hopeless keeper
magical pace brilliant defender
magical technique brilliant playmaker
divine passing incredible striker

so, how to avoid that my striker dont back-pass to my defender and my mid?
should i use only strikers?
please...
yes, maybe im lame in tactics, who knows, but from goal situation back-pass to a defender is not so logical with any intelligence.

I don't know, I don't know what kind of players they have. But if I see that grmbl writes Defenders should still need defense / pace as main skills I wonder if that is the case ;)
a random ping-ponginess of stupid decisions ....... I keep hoping that the devs say "ok, we tried it but failed miserably. Time to cut our loses and take a step back".
The first part is one of the reasons why the ME has changed as the old ME was all ping-pong soccer (and unfortunatly still to much in this new ME, defs kicking the ball to forwards way to often). And apparently you don't like ping-pong soccer either, but you do ask for the old ME. Seems like a contradiction to me.
and I then managed to score 3 goals in 7 minutes. Now thats realistic yes.
Well, it's a game and not rl so not all is as realistic as rl, but to make some comparison with rl, it does happen a lot of times the winning goals are scored in last 15 minutes. So beside the final score of 7-4, which is not that realistic to rl soccer, all other is ;) But these scores can happen because we can't make changes during the match.

Did I say this? Can't remember I did ....
Maybe something like this could work (not exactly like this, but just as a rough example):
In the first example you can play with 2 strikers (10 and 11), in the second example even with 3 (9, 10 and 11).

This is not good.
The two midfielders who can not return back, explode your defensive line. :)
