Subject: The worst game ever

Sokker has defenitely, the worst ME i have ever seen:

In the gave above: a team with 22.4 average grade (BOT) beats a 37 average grade team (HUMAN). How? The looser team make pressure, and put his team towards the opponent. This is made through offside line and midfield advance.

Why is this ME the worst I have ever seen? The midfield players from the second team, in a way that i don't know how passes to the opposite forward to score. Why? I don't know, but if you watch the game you will see my midfiels passing not for my forwards but for my opponent's forwards. In this case, of course, there is no offside, so the opposite's forwards are not in offside and free to score.

If a midfield, for some reason, passes through the opponent's forwards to score instead of his own team forward, can i consider sokker the worst game ever?

Mm, perhaps start using a MUCH lower defense line, so the the effect of back passes wont be so bad? :)

can´t tell ya that, but u most certainly can consider ur tactics as one of the worst tactics ever :P

Were you trying to beat the normal tactic with even worse one? .-)

Don't play such risky high defense when you don't have players for it, I'm not surprised they were passing back to opponents strikers..

Your defense should have been much lower and strikers much higher, especially against bot..

... and it isn't even the best example of tactics, but good enough for me.

But I can't lose to those 20 something mark bots :D 0% chance of that.
They'll never get more than a few chances to hit on goal :p that one hit on goal was from a pass by my own player as well.

A more defencive variant of that tactic without too much pressure.

I have just made tactic better based on the info from previous game. If a defender is too far at certain position, I put him back at both sides of that square. Just improve the tactics every week a bit until you can't lose.

How many MEs have you seen? You joined Sokker 6 months ago, so you only can have seen the previous (and not too much time) and the current one.

You put there false information. The team is not a bot, but a human one (althoug its owner has not logged in 10 days -only!-).

Yes, and precissely because of that it is the looser. If you had use a wiser tactic (something as simple as putting your DEFs to play in YOUR field), surely the result had been different, as, like you should know, offsides do not apply in the attacking team's half of the field.

This sounds a pathetic reasoning, mister. If such an punctual and messed argumentation of yours derives in such a conclusion, then either:

a) you have not played many gamees in your whole life (if you did, you would understand why so many veteran gamers stay in sokker in spite of its faults)

b) you are insanely pissed off by a single bad result (most of us are pissed off by results of this new ME, but not to the point to open a thread in the international forum to cry about a single bad result - btw, you have one titled ' New match engine discussion' for that)

c) you don't have the conditions required to play this game. That is: patience, resistence, morale, and more PATIENCE (we don't have to win against our rivals only, but also against the evil machinations of greg and his minions and their neverending efforts to force us users to quit from the game).


Btw, me, most of my country's community, and most of sokker users, are too pissed with his ME (search for the thread titled 'Do you like the new ME?'), and we remain here, so probably this is not the worst game ever, dont you think?

Now, the fact that greg and his devs seem to be commited to the task of making possible that it can happen some time, is another story...

It was different tactic he played against + he shouldn't let those bot teams hit on goal at all. Those are flaws in the tactic :p

you,re so right joosep, the bot used a single central defender and the human team had two of them...that,t the difference :))

it's not how many there are, it's about how the whole team is positioned in certain areas, you might lose against one tactic most of the time and win easy against another. Even in those default tactics.

Every throw they make you position players right and they wont get the ball most of the time. Makes a huge difference. Or how free wingers can play and so on.

Either you make an universal tactic against those default tactics or make a different one for all to maximize the advantage. At the current state he played himself in offside and let their attackers have too many free tries on his own goal.

Actually look at the passes and positions in the game to see where the flaws are and fix them for next game, you'll get much better results.

its not purely the ME that gives the same amount of chances against a much weaker team; its mainly your tactics.

You probably are used to sokker's ME so it may not surprise you. But since this is a soccer simulation doesn't it bother you? When you are creating a tactic, I will position my defender against my own players that passes the ball to other team's forward instead of position them against my opponent's players?
