... still so many people, who whine and complain (including myself on some points), keep playing it. WHY? So, instead of making another 'sokker sucks' or 'worst game ever' topic, I'd really like to know such people don't quit.
Just listed 6 (+other) option. If more than one option applies (which is probably the case), pick the one that suits best (well, this fucked-up game does not allow polls with more than 1 answer :P)
Here it's a combination of 3 things: I like training youngsters to nice players, I like some parts of the community (forum, sk mail) and well, I don't want to throw 'my team' away. Mainly the last thing if I have to pick one.

At least the best online football manager game as far as I know (and I know some...). I'm still curious how greg will develop sokker in the future. Nevertheless I would like to see him being more responsive to some of the communities wishes.

I had a team in 2005 and 2009 i quitted.
But now i come back, and i feeling better because i have so many challenges for overcome.

Wouldn't 'Why do you still play sokker' have been a better topic-title for this as it's less negative and more to the point?
Anyway:
I built my team from scratch and I dont want to see it disappear
The main reason I still play sokker is because I've been playing ever since this game got introduced in Belgium and in those 7 years I've gone to the top and managed to stay there. Ok, I'm not as dominant as in the past.. But it's normal since I've had periods where I was a bit inactive and I just put my game orders/tactics.. Can't dominate for years and not do transfers ;) Anyway, what counts for me is that I'm still there in topleague.
I've had my ups and downs activity-wise but it's normal to lose interest imo when you play this game for that long and you have no challenges left.. So yeah I've neglected my team a bit (especially trainies/TL) in the past which resulted in them getting old and we all know this is the beginning of the end if you don't have youngsters ready to replace them with.. So these last couple of seasons are more difficult for me and I'm basically just trying to stay in topleague and rebuild my squad piece by piece. This and the fact that I've never demoted EVER (and don't want to start now), keeps me going. To be honest I find surviving topleague while trying to rejuvenate my team (which was in real bad shape) a bigger challenge then winning the league.. So I'm actually having more fun now surviving combined with an occasional 'going for cup' season then to go for the first division trofee. I can't promise I'll be here forever though but as long as I'm still in eerste klasse.. You won't see me selling all my players and starting over from scratch..The thought has crossed my mind at some point though.. But then I thought.. So I'm going to 2nd division by choice? fuck that! If I ever go back to 2nd division.. It won't be without a fight! :D
So until that happens, have no fear.. grmbl is here ;)

Been playing for 6½ years, but this will be my final season. There's several reasons for that.
The game isn't getting any better (if any, it's getting worse) and the activity in Sweden isn't that high, so it's even getting boring on the forums there.
I'll keep the team because if I do decide to come back one day I do not want to start from scratch.

Better would have been to use your first sentence, 'why do people continue to play Sokker'.
