Subject: game is dead ? what would you change

2013-05-03 11:41:35
Etienne [del] to All
There are less and less managers in the game since several years, and it doesnt seem that current owner of the game are acting to change this trend.. Personnaly I stopped playing several months ago, but I still hope a change and replay in the future...

My suggestion to change the trend and keep users :

- first of all, increase the pace a lot... You can't keep users focus on the game with such rythm... waiting 2 or 3 years real time to have your team trained is just unrealistic... 3 league games per week would make more sense, with the training pace updated accordingly, same for economical update.

- change the youth pull system ( today completely random ), and talent should not remain hidden... ( or keep it hidden , but we can evaluate it with the proper staff ). This is a management game, 100 % gambling is not fun.

- less important, but keep friendly optionnal ( training would work without it )... Personnaly I find it painfull to search a friendly everyweek, and set my team to have everyone trained, for a match i don't care at all...

Too much said about my opinion, what would you change to change the trend and save Sokker from death ?

well the target audience of the game should be 10-15y. I might be mistaken but I believe most(not all ofc) current sokker users have started playing sokker in that age. I can honestly say that I would have never started playing sokker in highschool or even later.

so I believe there is only one way to get manager number growing. every sokker user should tell their 10-15y old bros or nephews to start playing sokker. also suggest that they should invite their friends playing the game too. middleschool kidos don´t give a fuck about the fact that it takes years of playing to get to the top. they are kids, so their expectations are much lower compered to older folks who want success asap.

also I believe kidos see the game more as a combat with their friends. who is better. they don´t compere themselves with the top of the sokker world - which might, yea, be kinda "I think I´m gonna quit caus I aint playing this game for another 4 years to get to the top".

ofc there much more awesome games to play today, but I believe people appreciate the possibility of playing not so graphically advanced game if they can play against their friends or relatives.

in answer to ur ideas:

-increasing the pace alot would make older users leave.

-afaik only thing that ever changed in youth system was that the talent turned hidden. everything else remained the same. which kinda means it was completely random back in the old days as well.

- I like thea idea. or an alternative way would be if we could set friendlys several weeks earlier. I mean, u set up 4 friendlies for next month so you don´t have to look for friendly every week etc.

about looking for frendly, you can join friendly PLUS league free.
or you can buy PLUS and make your own PLUS league and invite your friend to join.
or you can make a manual friendly tournament or join international tournament (if there are exist).

so, it should solve a lot your looking for friendly match.

now thats a good point lol. last time I was in a friendly league it was 10 seasons+ ago I think.. didn´t even remember something like that exists :D

i am 52 and startetd this thing 7 years ago. and i am here, because 5 other +40yo told me, this is a good game. my 3 children all started between 10 and 12.
all of us have different reasons for still being here.
none is interested to play in a high league
one uses sokker only because of the mail system
i am here to build a cheap team with a strong tactic
one is bored of playing other games, so he is more intersted in sokker now than 2 years ago
and one is, as you wrote, here to combat with his friends

for me the world today is much slower going than in my youth. people seem to have more and more difficulties to understand logical contexts and lots of things take twice as long as they should.
i would have nothing against it, if there are 2 or 3 leaguematches a week. but maybe my children have not time enough to spend with sokker then. the schoolsystem in my copuntry is horrible bad and the kids are treated like prisoners with very little time left for privacy.

in Italy we have many many user over 50 yo.. :)

Not everyone in here is a kiddo

Good idea to make friendlies optional, maybe combine it with 2 league matches a week instead...

damn u guys!!

what I mean is.. ok lets take an example. 12y old football fan invites 30 of his friends/relatives who are also 12y old, to play sokker. then there is one 30y old dude who invites 30 of his friends/relatives who are the same age as he, to play sokker

which one brings more users to sokker? 30y old dude or 12 year old punk?

imo, 12y old, and the difference would be massive compered to how many users 30y old guy can bring.

FIXING all the bugs and things which do not work ok BEFORE introducing new features would be great.

And of course, TESTING these new features BEFORE introducing them would be greater indeed.

if everyone of us could bring just 1 friend who will play definitely to sokker would be the best things!
over 70k users.. :)

but i'm agree with you..

@Etienne
3 league games per week would make more sense,
:O--do you have a job??

@brokus
your statement about joining age is totally wrong...
2013-05-03 19:23:18
the game is dead, long live the game!
oh wait ... nope, still alive!
2013-05-04 01:09:27
:O--do you have a job??

Sure. I have even a family. I guess it's all about organisation and brain speed.

In low league it's not a problem, but in high league...big problem. First of all injury = you need to buy player = you need time. Secondly, you need to prepare tactics, analise the opponent etc.

Everything takes time, 1 game/week is fine.

Number of games has no connection with the loss of users...
