Subject: South East Asia - Australia Cup

2013-08-12 19:27:08
Are there news about it? :)

@ringhiostarr: do you have opinion for our 3 option above?

I've realized only now about this message... :S. Sorry.
In my opinion:
1-home and away :)
2-no age restriction
3-It's the same, we can start from week 02 :)

I'll wait for the elections to finish so that I can ask the coaches if they're going to participate. Since Vietnam made it to the next stage in the world cup, the SEAA cup will start after the world cup so the group stage cannot be home and away. For the rules, we will still decide about it and ask the coach's opinions about it :D

For the first South East Asia - Australia Cup, the invited nations are:
1. Malaysia
2. Australia
3. Viet Nam
4. New Zealand
5. Singapore
6. Indonesia
7. Pilipinas
8. Prathet Thai

The schedule would be:
Group stage
Week 11: Round 1 (1v2 and 3v4)
Week 12: Round 2 (1v3 and 2v4)
Week 13: Round 3 (1v4 and 2v3)
Finals
Week 14: Semi finals and friendlies (1Av2B, 2Av1B, 3Av4B and 3Bv4A)
Week 15: Finals, battle for third and friendlies (3Av3B and 4Av4B)

For the rules:

A. No age restriction

B. Grouping is random (FREDDY_PAITO is in charge of the grouping which will be held on week 3, Sunday)

C. Group standings will be according to:
1. points
2. goal difference
3. goals for
4. match of the tied teams
5. score against the lower ranked team
6. score against the higher ranked team

D. The coach who will send the match invitation first will decide on the venue (home or away)

E. The coach must report in the forum if they have sent the match invitation. The opponent must accept the invitation by Wednesday, 14:00 sokker time. If the opponent hasn't accepted the invitation by then, the coach has the right to set up a friendly match. If a friendly match has been arranged, the team will win 3-0 in the tournament. If the opponent was still able to accept, the match will be considered.

F. If both teams weren't able to fix the match, it will result in a 0-0 draw but without points in the
group stages. In case of the elimination stages, both teams cannot join the finals.

G. Coaches must message the SEAA organizer (acelio_1216) and post in this forum if they have sent the match invitation.

H. Anything not mentioned here will be decided later.

For the coaches / new coaches: After the elections, please confirm if your nation will join this tournament.

Feel free to comment and suggest :D

As NT coach candidate I support this idea strongly. Local tournaments are good for community.

Rules are fair enough. One thing I will suggest to change is match confirmation deadline. Tuesday or wednesday should be better. If the opponent hasn't accepted the invitation, NT coach has more time to set up another friendly then.

Okay noted :D Will talk to FREDDY_PAITO regarding your suggestion!

I just want to clarify, if your team wasn't able to join the finals stages, we will be arranging your friendlies which would be against the teams from the other group :D In that case, the only chance that you'll be playing a second match against a team in the tournament would be in the finals.

So if you join the SEAA cup, it is automatic that you will have matches from week 11-15 :)
