Freedom of speech is just your own freedom of speech against freedom of being insulted. A joke is relative in every country. In a public area, if you allow every kind of freedom, you can allow every kind of insult towards your own culture, your own morals... For instance, let's say, many people want to have sex orgy in square just in front of a kindergarden where you take your chidren to have fun with them... What would be your feeling towards you and your chidren face to this act of freedom ? If you would not being insulted, just find one thing that would insult you too strongly to face it freely ;-)...
Then, the problem of freedom of speech is that you have to use a public area with individual morals, cultures compared with your own morals, culture... A french public person (don't remember the name here) told one day : " On peut rire de tout mais pas avec n'importe qui".
You freedom of speech is a power you put towards your environment to use it. You face to other powers or freedom of speech which have always limits of each morals and culture...

As adaca said, here, SK has a european culture due to a majority of european people playing here... Then other continent people must know that the morals and culture will be different when play this game and surely find some topics difficult to read even impossible... As SK is a place, private or public who have some rules to allow max of people to use his freedom of speech without feeling insulted and everyone should agree with the rules given.

Religious humour is always going to be sensitive and offensive. I completely understand why somebody feels offended by this. But if you understand from what place the comedians and jokes are coming from you should never feel offended by anything, because all comedians are trying to do is to make you laugh and/or shock you as much as they can. They usually have no other agenda than that..and even if they do, laughing at jokes that you disagree with is quite challenging and fun :-)

btw. if you like religion related humour go watch Goerge Carlin or Bill Maher, if you like offensive humour in general Louis C.K. or Anthony Jeselnik, especially the last guy is particularly brutal..

I think the pic is funny. made me laugh though I was pissed off for having a massive downswing @ partypoker.

I think getting insulted by this kind of jokes only shows a mans inability to laugh at himself. which is, in my opinion, an awful characteristics to have.

but I´m sort of 50:50 whether a pic, that someone feels offencive, should be deleted or not. I certainly know I don´t like folks who get offended that easily and I sometimes consider them as dickheads but I still respect their opinion and try not to offend them. like I try to not make nigger jokes when there are black people around or mexican jokes when mexicans are around etc :P

Bad example your putting, because it is illegal in most countries to be naked public and the kind of scenario is also illegal with harder penalties then just public nudity.

I willingly chose this example because this is forbidden in most or even all countries... Then, you can easily understand how insulted the indonesian player was when he saw this picture due to a forbidden law in his country ;-)

where is your morale for this? Jessus are suffering at that picture, HE is very kind want to take all your sin with HIM (sorry if i am wrong about Jessus take HIS PEOPLE sin) and you or the picture maker joking on his suffer? and laugh for this? for me, that is truly outrageous and unacceptable.
and i am not catholic or christian. i am not Moslem too.

You misuse your powers as admin and that's more wrong than this picture, imo. There were pictures in that topic which are much more offensive. In my opinion this picture was nowhere offensive to christianity. You cannot apply the laws of Indonesia on a sokker forum!

this is not YOUR forum and YOU don't decide what can be posted and what can't.

there are rules which say what can and can't be posted - the 'Jesus hammer time' picture does NOT violate ANY rules of THIS FORUM, so you CAN'T delete it....just because 'you don't like it'

You apply your own freedom of speech level and compare to the freedom of speech level of borkos here... And as you've got the power, you control and use your own freedom of speech without talking about this case by deleting the picture... 1. Jesus is not a historical figure, but a fictional character - like Sauron, or Gandalf from Lord of the Rings.

2. These pictures were made for the drawn edition of Bible - and yes, I see nothing wrong in pictures of Jesus' suffering, you can find those in most Christian churches.

3. It's not a joke about Jesus [though I like those, like ALL GOOD JOKES].
