That screen of Bruno Vates is looking a bit strange, but it can happen in youth school. Although I think graphics won't look like that too often.

And if you look at it and keep in mind the +/- 3 levels, the graphic isn't that extreme at all. Most probably this player has a good talent (3.5 or so) and with this talent the graphic now looks like this:
8 9 9 7 8 9 10 11 11 11 12 13

But with the +/- 3 levels, the graphic could also look like this, and this is 'normal' (normal as in 'the old system'):
9 9 9 10 10 10 11 11 11 11 12 12

Interesting, i will keep an eye on that. Thanks for the info :)

but it is not as big change as most people think :)

No indeed :) In the end talent can still be calculated as the old system, just devide the number of weeks by the number of pops.

The only difference is that with the old system managers knew if a junior was really talented within 8 weeks, now they need at least 15 weeks to be able to make a reasonable prediction, and even more weeks is an even more accurate prediction.

yes, but DjebeL 'cries' about this new change and has only 6 or 7 youths...so I don't really understand what is his problem, the change in YS did not have any effect on his youth school 'system' since he has a lot of free spots, and the main problem with ys is choosing who to sack in order to keep 6 free spots...

.so I don't really understand what is his problem

I think his problem is the levels of his juniors are going up and down.

And what's the problem with it? I really don't understand...

one week he has solid, the next he has good...so what? the beginning and ending level of youth player is already predetermined the moment the youth enters the YS...

Not if you change coach... :P
2013-09-26 23:27:29
I also don't understand the problem, but some managers really don't like the less predictable youth school. I think it's more fun, but not everyone agrees :)
2013-09-26 23:29:48
Well I don't see no fun in it to be honest :p.

I liked to watch the YS progress to imagine what I can expect in 5-10-20 weeks, now I don't care. Just sacking youths at friday when I have more than 24, checking the new youths and promoting them when I see info in the media section...

yes, but DjebeL 'cries' about this new change and has only 6 or 7 youths...

I have the same problem because juniors who entered as solid and after 9-10 weeks they are at least solid or even dropped a level or two. So normally i sack them. And i make a great series of 2-3 saturdays when i receive one or max two tragic juniors, at the end i wake up with less than 10 youths in my school, i cant remember having 20 or more youths there. I guess Djebel made the same way.

But if the level is only "approximated" by the coach, it changes everything.
