You can press Home on keyboard instead. Not an ideal fix but works as temporary workaround.

Want to correct you :

Not very happy with the new layout, but it might have potential.

But why can't I scroll up and down the page? Have to use the page up/down key instead, which isn't nice.

Also, how do I restore the old layout?

go to theme setting and click restore old theme on the top right

thanks God there was an option to restore the old skin...my eyes were practically killing me and my head started to hurt after 5 minutes flat...horrible contrast and colours
