I've seen Sokker through quite a few changes, but personally I think it's horrific.
If you didn't suffer the scrolling issue, fine, but I did.
In my iPhone, none of the buttons work and finding your way around the site is nearly impossible.

well, iPhone :P it has bugs, but it can (could) be repaired ;) it has to be tested (mass), not only on test server...
and I dont want to defend it, but Im quite satisfied with it, right step for to be alive ;)

New layout is imho crucial for sokker survival.
The fact is almost all new users dont care about engine or functionaliy, but only shiny new design and sokker has to compete with worse but more attractive looking manager games. I'm not saying everything is perfect, but it had to be done. The old one was archaic, modern update was absolutely necessary.
Old design = no new users
New design = possibly more new users
You can customize the new design or change it back to old one. How can having more options to choose from be a bad thing? After any change the first reaction of many managers is to get mad angry and go immediately to the forum complain mostly about an issue that was already answered 7 times in the same topic. May be calm down and think first before getting all fired up.

I am not hostile to changes, I just think changes should lead to substantial improvements.

I first thought the new design is terrible. The background gave me headaches (because my brain wants to put the background into focus somehow) and the buttons at the bottom aren't for me.
But then I found out how to change it, got rid of background and have the buttons to the left now and that is fine. It's a great improvement to have only one side to navigate. The next step would be to reduce the buttons we have to maybe 10, if the appeal to new users is that important. Also I would test with new users what design helps them understand the game better. I doubt that 16 buttons at the bottom will help with that :P
For me the only thing that I really do not like is how much space is wasted, for example I have 3 players on one screen now in the player overview (because of the enormous pictures) or in the forums 3 posts per page and I have to scroll a lot (17'' Laptop Widescreen). I could do with smaller text instead and would like it a lot if space was used more efficiently. But I will get used to it I guess :D

You know, it's always the same, in every online game. After every change, you hear cries in the forum, "worst change ever", "it's going down", "this is the end", blah blah.. wait a few weeks, everybody gets accustomed and noone gives a shit anymore. And in this case, wait a year and people will ask "which old design?" :)
Is it possible to change the skin back to the Sokker Classic? My skins tab is empty doe
Same as me 1st thing I did when I saw the state of sokker was to try and go back to sokker classic. Under media and page skins there is nothing apart from some advertisement. Plz tell me you can still do it

yes, you can do it. it was explained about 10 times already in this topic. find it yourself.
Possible bug: At least on cyborg theme, all junior skills are displayed in the same color, regardless if they are up, down or same as previous week.
A nice improvement I would like: use the same skill graph for juniors as for senior players. That's the best feature of this layout, imo.

TRAGIC! Why now all has to look like made for 5 yo kids?
You better should fix the engine because now almost all teams build wall in defense - that's unrealistic and it kills sokker.
