Subject: Have the staff gone on vacation
Thank you very much PhiPhi. Can you make an admin or should i be approached by danish staff?
and btw, admins, mods or other staff members are only human beings and they deserve holidays as other human beings
Of course they do :-) but as i can see it out admins have been on Sokker more or less every day.
Yeah USA doesn't have a mod or admin either. I am the only staff member (Promoter) and have been active in this game for like 7 years or something and yet my request I put in like 2 months ago to become mod has been ignored. Not sure where to go with it now or if the USA just won't get any new staff...
It's better to stay away from any involvement in the game administration. Users who were fair and with common sense, quit their staff responsabilities long time ago with a reason.
Sure, if it was only this one time it happened, due to the staff being on some kind of break/vacation it wouldn't be a major problem. But in my experience it is more the rule than the exception, that it takes around 2 weeks for new danish players to get accepted, which seems to be very problematic, and most likely a big part of the reason, that no new users are going to stick around.
unfortunately there are many inactive mods and admins....
I also start to loose faith in Sokker and I have stayed here almost 7 years now. Atm I seriously consider quitting this game, because it is more than clear that the owner(s)-developers are very unprofessional and also doesnt seeme to take their "job" seriously enough. Lack of communication is another story... Sad, but true...
I have been a Plus user for many years and helped a lot of users to get Plus, but right now I dont really feel like buying new Plus. For what exactly? Things still stay the same most likely around here. I wouldnt be too surprised when suddenly Sokker will go offline. Owner(s) only milk the cow, but milk will end eventually.
Am I too negative? :)

My question is, what else do you people expect from the devs? The match engine is stable enough, they implemented the arcade matches, they implemented more control over the stadium, ticket price/ pitch size/condition. Like seriously, do you people expect them to make even the tactic for you?
The game reached its maturity quite some time ago. The devs aren't the problem of the game, the problem is the inactivity of the staff members and for some, the low level of the IQ, they barely can understand the meaning of words in their own language.

Nope, just realistic. I still will buy plus because i think it is worth it. But every day can be the last day of this game.
There has been no cleanup in the netherlands for months. I saw a team with manager that was bankrupted in 2013.... I think it is just to let us think "ow around 400 users, that is not too bad." Or something like that. But in reality i think we have only 150-250 users left overhere.
It is just a sinking ship... but i will play to the last day ;)

me too, I wanna die here like Leo did in that Titanic movie.
I might even share that wooden door or whatever it was, if you want. :D
Well, in my eyes Sokker still has a decent amount of room for improvement. Many great ideas have been proposed, but looks like that noone really listens-cares. On the other hand - can we blame Greg and his buddies? They have invested their time and money to this game and now they just want to see the payday and take away the maximum amount of money from the remaining users. Let us call it an extra income. A hobbie.
Perhaps not major changes are needed (might make things even worse (like that 30s waiting time; new youth school etc)), but some small adjustments in the match engine and in some other areas wouldnt be bad.

In programming, when you patch something on one side, you'll double the holes on the other side. For them to make changes in the match engine, would mean to spend money and time for months and months simulating/testing until they are pleased with the results.
On the other hand, when they changed something, like the match engine (God knows how many discussions were when that happened), the new look, the junior school, the pitch and so on, people never embraced the improvements.
Some things cannot be changed, because one simple thing might require more than half of the code to be revised.
There's a saying for this:
Bill Cosby: "I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody."
