Subject: It's Time For Change
It is.
And you all know it.
Therefore i'd like to invite you all in the discussion on changing the competition structure from a national to a global one.

I like it. Drastic measures are required because sokker is dying very fast.
It's a nice idea, but it will have zero impact on the issue of dying sokker.
The problem is not that people are leaving, people were ALWAYS leaving.
The problem is that there are much less people registering nowadays. And it won't change.
1. the game is outdated - layout is bad, the interface is very bad
2. young people don't want to play such games like sokker, they want modern managers, connected with facebook, with tablet/phone applications

its not bad idea but not as simple ;) there was a better and easier ideas to implement and where they are...
I think more simple idea is to make new manager (like this one), where devs are visible and move :P ;)

Also it would be a GREAT idea for top level users, whose teams play for 70+
at the same time it would a very bad idea for top users at weak country level, who from fighting for their country's championship would suddenly go down to 3rd/4th tier of global competition

You're partially right. (even 100% regarding the inflow of users)
However, it would decrease the outflow of people. I'm convinced it could be enough of a spark for at least some users to play the game more actively again.
It's not going to save the game in the long run. But at least we'll all have some fun while we're still going ;)

Nobody likes playing in a under 50 person country, i don't buy that..
If they've been playing sokker for 15+ seasons they will also want a new challenge.

Maybe adding another competition like Europa league in RL, or even two, like cup winners cup.
But there is always an argument that such competitions will make rich clubs even richer....

We need something new for everyone. Not an extra toy for the 'happy few'.
I think Plus is a problem for new users. If you don't have it there are some disadvantages (like not being able to see how your opponent plays) which can make people dislike the game a bit.
I do think that, especially the lower leagues, are slow and contain way to many bots. I am such a player. Half of my games are against bots. And when I win my league I have to play a qualification-match that it close to impossible to win. It is way to hard to get up and be competitive, which is not cool.
I like this game, so I will keep playing. But these things will draw people away from this game.

It's not neccesary in bottom leagues to see the matches of the rivals. With the tactic drawing on report is just enough.
The way to be competitive beggining from bottom leagues are earning money with transfers and training, with small expenses.
For example, I've took a look on your team. This 5 def doesn't make sense, you should play with 4 defenders and much more close toghether (at your level). Also, it's possible to make a 1€ team which rating will be arround the same of yours. I've seen some of your players and they are good and someothers you can buy young people for 1€ than they are betters. I don't think you are doing bad, but you surely can do it better to improve in less time.

+1
Although I partially disagree with the explanation :P
1. the game is outdated - layout is bad, the interface is very bad
I have seen many games, newer or older. I really don't see what is bad about this interface/layout, or at least all interface/layouts I know are at best eually bad :P
2. young people don't want to play such games like sokker, they want modern managers, connected with facebook, with tablet/phone applications
That sums up the real problem: Sokker may turn into a game we aren't interested in but satisfies a different demand from different consumers, or it may stay as some form of good ol' online manager, accepting it won't attract those looking for something else - which are steadily displacing us from the market.
I like the game. I'd like it to be better, but obviously I'm here, so good enough for me. Some improved version of SK wold be just the game I want. I also would like to have more users, and more new users. The question is: who will those users be? Who do you know would be interested in this kind of games? I don't know anyone, regardless of what changes we make to sokker, that would enjoy this game. Better said: all the people I know would be interested has already played Sokker and left for different reasons, but in all cases it's not about improving the game, they're basically out of the market for these games.
So, it's fine to make the game better and everything, but first things first: do we have a potential demand? I don't mean speculations, I mean do any of us have friends willing to play this game in its current form or in some improved version? And, since we're here, I'd say our friends are more likely to be interested than the general population, but still... It's like those pyramidal businesses, and I think we are at the point in which the base can't keep on growing :P
