What is an U20 Mini World Cup?
It is a tournament with knockout games between the U20 selections of countries who are not participating in the official World Cup.
Why should a team play with U20?
It is a way to prepare for the WC-qualification games of next season.
The U20 players raise by playing international games their experience (yes, it is a "hidden" skill).
The U21-managers (you!) can plan better what is next to do, in order to qualify next season for the WC.
My U20 team is very weak and I don´t want to loose all games. What can I do to avoid it?
The worst thing is just loosing one game. The games are knockout, so every team is out of the race after his first and only one loss. At this tournament all teams except the winner team will have one and only lost game.
By playing knockout games, do you think the best team wins the U20 MWC?
No and that´s exactly the intrigue :)
The teams will be drawn randomly; isn´t it unfair to play against a stronger club?
It is your big chance to beat a stronger team at this stage of U20, because their players are not fully trained.

U20 Mini World CUp - not so F.A.Q. (not so Frequently Asked Questions)
I have keeped free for the tournament weeks 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. What if my team is kicked out after the first game wouldn´t it be difficult to find a team to play with on the next week?
Half of the participating teams will be kicked out after the first game. These teams will be listed and you can choose one of them and decide if you play U21, U20, U19 or U18... (Or shall I make also a draw for the disqualified teams?)
What if more than 32 teams are registered?
The first 32 participate - the rest is on waiting list.
What if 30 teams are registered?
There should be 16 teams on the next round. So there will be 14 games with 28 teams and the rest 2 have walkover to the next round. (If they want, the 2 teams with the free pass to the next round, they can arrange to play together to prepare for the next round).
This model is for a figure of 24 to 31 participating countries.
What if somebody don´t sends or refuses to receive an invitation for Fridays game?
Everything about it is written en detail on the rules.
What if somebody breaks rule § 3.2. ?
I remember that I had arranged on past year a U20 friendly with lokixo5. I sent him a skmail to confirm that all players will be U20 and he answered ok. A few days later we played the friendly and 3 of his players were 21...
Nevertheless I sent him an invitation (I decided to forgive...)
Many of you received the same invitation and you wrote on the forum: YourCountrysName U20 ok
He just sent me a skmail with just "ok" - Some of you did also the same and you received all a new skmail from me where I explicit asked you to write: "YourCountrysName U20 ok"
Most of you did so, some of you told me that they wanted to play mixed, so they cancelled their registration - just one user, lokixo5, wrote only "Panama". Only this, without "U20"
To make it clear:
1. lokixo5 and Panama are for me out of the tournament. I don´t want to spend more time, to be sure that he will play U20 - two skmails were enough.
(Only if somebody else takes responsibility for him, I will recall my decision. By "taking responsibility" I mean: If he uses 1 player in the age of 21, then both, his team and your team are out of the tournament.)
2. I want all players from all teams to be U20. Everybody who wants to cancel his registration, he is free to do it, without having to give explanations or excuses - It´s ok, it´s fair.
What if somebody has more questions?
He should post them here, like slamtam did, who gave me by this way the idea of creating the FAQ. :)

§ 1.1. Máxima edad permitida 20 años
§ 2. Disposición de juego
§ 2.1 . Las invitaciones se deben enviar de acuerdo con el sorteo , que será anunciado más reciente sobre los sábados a las 08:00 ( de la mañana) sokker tiempo.
§ 2.2 . El equipo local [ envía invititaion con el modo de copa, hasta el lunes 23:59 hora sokker .
§ 2.3 . Si no sucede hasta el lunes 22:00 , el hometeam es descalificado .
( Sólo hay una posibilidad de evitar esto : . Tienes que escribir en el foro CUANDO (fecha y sokker tiempo) se va a enviar la invitación y enviará también skmail a la gerente de la awayteam o informarle de su retraso será aceptado sólo si el gerente de la awayteam está de acuerdo ! Su respuesta tiene que ser escrito en el foro )
§ 2.4 . Si no está en modo de copa y el resultado es empate, el equipo invitado , gana el juego ( = se clasifica para la siguiente ronda ) .
§ 2.5. Los equipos han de aceptar la invitación hasta el miércoles 22:00 hora sokker, si no, serán descalificados
§ 3.2. El comité d ela organización puede banear, reemplazar o retirar a equipos en el torneo. La explicación de tal acto debe ser anunciada en el foro y ha de ser en el interés del Mini Torneo Mundial

middle of week 2 - Wednesday 11 Jan. 2017 - official participation deadline
end of week 2 - Friday 13 Jan. 2017 - draw of 1/32 finals or 1/16 or 1/8 finals (depending on the number of participating teams)
end of week 3 - Friday 20 Jan. 2017 - Start of the tournament (=first game) - 1/16 finals
start of week 4 - Saturday 21 Jan. 2017 - draw of next stage knock out matches

The most important facts about the tournament are:
1. It is an U20 Mini World Cup.
All teams which did not manage to qualify in the U21 World Cup, will have the chance to prepare by this way for the next qualification round.
2. The new U20 Mini World Cup will start on the same date with the U21 World Cup, on the last day of week 3, on Friday.
You can decide to participate with your U20 team till week 2 (till Wednesday). After this, maybee there will be some extension of a few days. I prefer you to declare immediately now your participation, if you are planning to participate, on this forum or by skmail.
3. The mode of the new U20 Mini World Cup will be similar to the oldest association football competition in the world, the english FA Cup.
All games will be knock-out games (cup mode) and the draw of the pairs will be totally random. This can be the chance for even weak teams to win, with some luck, the new U20 Mini World Cup.
That´s the essential part of the tournament. Details will be announced till week 2, or just ask. You can plan for the tournament week 3 till week 7. If you have fun by participating with your future qualification team (your U20 team), I remind you, declare your interest here.
