also...two other questions...
is there a way to go back and edit past season information on pops and such?
how does SO determine the "B.Pos."?

you can see differences with past dates (click on the date on the calendar), but except for training you can't edit it. If you have old data from other programs you may import it (depends which program and which format).
how does SO determine the "B.Pos."?
based on the formulas for each position. Take into account that these formulas should be edited by you according to your own experience and they are just a simple linear model.

Soker is individual, so you can't. But as mizrolist said, you can just put SO into three different folders, as it is quite small. If you use the online version, each user must log in to windows from its own windows account (as the data is stored in My Documents\Sokker Organizer).

so...it's kind of a hyped up version of "assistant" on the coaches page...only more functional. is that about right?

yup, although I didn't want to put it in the first place (because accurately predicting the player rating is very difficult, unlike HT for instance), but many people asked for the option.
The default formulas are based on the average of a poll I did like a year ago, and deliberately not improved in order to make people change them by themselves :)

In answer to your question about error windows...i actually get the same thing in Vista and XP...although after relaunching in Vista it does not return as often...it's long, so...

ahh, I found the error.
I had not tested it the new training panel with a new installation of SO (no data).
The new version (with Matches Panel) is coming out today or tomorrow, so it'll be fixed in it.
In the meantime, I think the bug will go away if you download data at least once, then restart SO.

yeah, it seems to. and actually, it happens any time you resize the screen the first time you use it after the download. i just set up my boys and it seems that restarts do not seem to have that problem.
BETA version 0.81 released!
changes since 0.8:
+ Added Matches Panel
+ small bugfixes in Training Panel.
