up!

@Danny:
And an other question from a colleague of mine from Hungary. I honestly cant say I fully understand the question, which is the following:
"I uninstalled Java from my system, and I reinstalled it, but all my data seemed to disappear from SO. This shouldnt be a problem for me, I imported the xml datas, but more than 10 weeks still missing!
What is the answer? HELP!"

Thank you for a reasonable answer :)

then you don't have java properly installed.
just set .jar files to automatically open with javaw.exe in the folder options of windows.

Well, fiddling with java couldn't have done anything to SO.
Maybe he updated from a very old version to a newer one, in which case yes, while SO is still at beta stage will cause data to be reset (as internal data format changes).
If he has missing data not present in the XMLs it could be due to having acquired that from other sources maybe? (like Apollo, Sokkermon files, etc)

happy birthday to Danny..... :)

Cool, thanks Danny! The recent improvements are fantastic.

Can you give a quick explanation on how to use the Training analysis?
2007-10-23 01:35:22
ok...i'm annoyed...and it's my fault i'm fairly sure...

when i download and unzip the new version, there are no changes to the panel. winzip is set to overwrite existing files in the folder. but i get the message that all files downloaded properly. any ideas what i missed in the process?

why didn't you update using the in-program function?

anyways, the new stuff is not ona new Panel, but inside the Training panel.

Can you give a quick explanation on how to use the Training analysis?

You have rows of weeks, starting from current week backwards.
Every week shows its training settings, total played minutes in week acording to last played position (lost training due to having illegal settings like 6 DEFs is not yet considered), order played in those minutes (GK, DEF, etc) and the skills resulting AFTER the training for that week (to be fixed in 0.831, as now shows skills before training).
Rows are colour coded according to training setting, and if you select a training type from the pulldown combobox, you can focus on a single training. Weeks trained with this settings will be colour colded ONLY (all the rest are white) and also weeks trained with something else will show the level of residual training (aka "random" training, which is not really random) for the selected training type.
Note that I don't know how much residual training is affected by the head coach other skills nor by the assistants, so for now raw data is shown, without any % analysis of training completion.

TO-DO: immediately in 0.831: fix the "shifted" rows for skills.
- colour-code or stand out in some way skill popups.
- training completion % for skills (not soon though, as it needs quite a lot of study).
- Skill prediction for current week in row 0 (same)

i tried using the in program function for the last two versions and no update occurred. in fact the redownload did not work on those either. i posted about it back when 0.81 came out...but got no answers
