softpedia link is good. A friend of mine downloaded SO few days ago.

I can't download the players' data. When I try to log in, i get the following error:

"java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect"

yeah megaupload is a grand site to download from.. just free users take few seconds waiting time is all..
as for it being right i dunno

not sure what happened...i use a laptop with Ubuntu 9.04...and suddenly the SO program no longer opens and runs. i've been using SO on this comp for over a year with no problems. anyone have any thoughts?

maybe the data got corrupted.
at which point does it stop loading?
try running it on a new install (rename/move the data folder), does it work?

i'll give it a shot. soon as i figure out how to save the data i have. i'd hate to lose it all. :)

oh, fyi...it's not that it stops loading...it actually never seems to start.

Maybe Java stopped working?

i doubt it because other java apps work fine. worth checking, though. keep the ideas coming, please. i'm going for the reinstall monday, since i work weekend nights. i'll keep you posted. :)

I have a problem. I don't see the old data but i have this data in the repertory (so_v0.94\data\xml).
Why ?

I have the v0.95 BETA.

Cannot open SO anymore. Fatal exception occured. Program will exit.

Downloading it again and starting the installation file gives the same message.

Works for me...
