Subject: NEWS Sokker- big changes are coming!

It depends on the form

I was assuming that would be one international cup, as I understand You're writing about many different international cups?

If so, yes, quite possible, but:

6 weeks groups stage means 4 teams/group with rematches or 6 teams in group without rematches (but that would make it 5 weeks)

+playoff week

=7 weeks covered, 6 left (schedule meant starting in week 2)

6 weeks in cup mode = final, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8/, 1/16, 1/32

so 64 teams MAX going out of groups, assuming #1 qualifiers = 64 groups x 4 teams = 256 teams

with 98 countries it would be a around 2 teams for country

so basically champions cup with group stage

also boring due to level differences, some teams playing for 50-60, some for 80+
----------------

if the plan would be to make many international cups, +/- adjusted to the team level then yeah, that would definitely be fun

but with current schedule that would also mean 4 official games/week - 2 league, int cup, national cup

so not really doable due to shortness of squads, would also mean playing basically more often than every other day, which I don't think would be good...perhaps as an ARCADE type of game, ignoring injuries/cards/training....then yeah, but that won't happen

Actually I think instead of International cup it would be more interesting to create an international league

all teams in one big league system, with different tiers, promotions etc.

that would be pretty tricky to adjust though, how it should affect training, injuries, sponsors, tickets (another well paying league home game every 2 weeks) etc.

Arcade leagues/cups with auto scheduled games + visible league table would be great addition for the start. Would remove all the hassle of organizing unofficial ones and a reason to buy plus so would increase income for the owners of sk.

that would be pretty tricky to adjust though, how it should affect training, injuries, sponsors, tickets (another well paying league home game every 2 weeks) etc.

Instead of a league with 22 matches we could have two leagues with 11 matches each, so similar income from tickets (slightly bigger due to double the ammount of play-offs matches each season)

One problem to solve - if a team plays 6 home matches in one competition then it should play 5 home matches in the other... could be hard to make it like that, without any special algorithm we would have 25% teams with total 10 home matches, 50% teams with 11 home matches, 25% teams with 12 home matches. With some simple algorithms we could make 10 and 12 home matches cases much smaller, but to make it to 0% it might be necessary to move some teams between leagues (on the same tier).

Training - nothing to change, still the same ammount of official matches as now

Sponsors - easy to adjust, run current sponsor money algorithm twice, once with national league and once with international league, take the mean value

" If so, yes, quite possible, but:...."

Do these limits really exist? ;)

I speak about 13-week-season, with league on Sunday, international match on Wednesday and Cup/Friendlies on Frieday - same match-scheme as now.

Now:

The proposal I made:

For the international league - cup (name it as you prefer) there are many possible schemes.
I' ll present now just three possible.

First one (cup-mode):

Second one, league mode:

Third one, mix of cup and league:

There are unlimited variations. Imho, first priority should remain the training reform,
after that fixing some bugs
and then I think it will be the perfect timing to revive the discussion about international-league-cup-whatever... :)

Even if some teams have 6 home matches and other 6 (like in Brazil), sokker would be much mire fun with an international competition for everyone! :)

Sorry boyzzz, I uploaded wrong image on "The proposal I made:". Now I edited with the right image. :)

VERY GOOD! 29 day injury!! You guys gotta be kidding me... This can't be serious
2022-04-14 00:08:37
Tsolias, this third option, which is mix of group and cup mode is great! I would just make 32 leagues on same level so 2 teams can go out from the group.
Also what could be implemented is INTERNATIONAL RATING, which would calculate only on how you perform in this International league and not your country championship (friendly rating should be vanished at all).
So there woildnt be a problem when 80 avg teams are playing against 60 avg teams because their rating are the same, as it is right now.
So we have many options, i hope they can implement it.

Also what would be not bad idea is that one season is for qualifiaction matches and second season is for finals. This would give 22 weeks to organize everything.

I like the idea of one season for qualifiaction matches and second season is for finals. This could make many things with the structure much easier. It opens the door to unlimited possibilities ;)

I also think, that we have new stuff to discuss.

Struś just gave new answers about Q&A and I am sure, that some of them will cause new discussinons! :)

I repost from:
https://sokker.org/forum_topic/ID_forum/1259/ID_topic/3543123/pg/1#forum-topic-post-3
---------------------------------------------------------
Q18: how many weeks NT-friendlies we have after NT world cup before end of new elections
A18: The change in the length of the season will perhaps also result in a change in election process. Perhaps both, the start and end date of the elections and voting may be affected, the answer depends on the choosen solution.

Q19: Matches pages of NT and U-21 are not compatible with bottom, left-menu clock (number of weeks). Will it be fixed, will we have strict, unifed calendar?
A19: If there is a problem still, please send more information.

Q20: Cup matches, weren't calculated in players statistic! Will the players which played cup matches receive training and how much (90 as official match or 75 as friendly)?
A20: The players who played in the cup matches have trained and will train accordingly to play in the official match.
As for the stats, it was an obvious mistake. However, there is no certainty that the developers will be able to count all the statistics "backwards", perhaps some will unfortunately be lost.

Q21: It is possible to confirm now if with the new training system (next season) a level above the super divine will be added (this would be "mega divine" p. ex)? raul mentioned it once.
A21: There are plans to introduce a 20-grade skill scale - so an additional level will be required. There is no implementation date set yet.

Q22: we may already know how stamina training would work? since the change in the training system was announced, it was explained that the stamina training would be changed but we don't know how it will be
A22: Both the training and the meaning of this skill will eventually be changed. One concept is that stamina does not refer to a single match, but to a pool of energy that is lost as you play matches and regained as days off. This will force a higher rotation of players and the need to manage their energy pool, translating into quality of play.

Q23: Some U21 match schedules show that two matches should be played in the same week ..(It affects Groups L, M, N, O (the groups are with link - see the error on rounds 4 and 5). Will this be fixed in time, or should I expect that there will actually be two matches?
A23: The problem of double matches on the same day will be solved.

Q23.1 Which seconds teams will qualify for the worldcup?
A23.1: The 17 teams from the first places in the groups and 15 of the 17 teams from the second places will be promoted. For all second placed teams a ranking will be made NOT INCLUDING matches against the last placed team in the case of 6-team groups. The best 15 teams will be promoted. The ranking will be based on the same assumptions as in the league i.e. number of points, goal difference, higher number of goals scored, higher number of victories, higher starting position (higher "pot").

Q24: if we train players with all the 4 orders (GK, DEF, ...) for individual training in the same week, will they all depend on the skills of a single main coach? so will the main coach need up to 4 training skills at once?
[edited: Will the quality of individual training responsibility lie mostly with the main coach or will there be a change, like the ability to assign different coaches to the skills we train?]
A24: The skills of the head coach will be decisive, it is important that he has the highest possible level of the skill(s) the players are being coached. Assistants on the other hand will add a bonus depending on their main level (not on the specific skill)

Q25: With incoming training reform we have an info that designed players will receive some sort of training, even if they were not playing. Any numbers on that?
it is also stated that the more player will play, the more it will affect his training. Will it have same proportions to full training as it is now
A: Yes, the reform includes the possibility for a player who has not played in a week to receive training. However, he will train noticeably slower than a player who has appeared in full or part of a game. An appearance in a National Team match will add another training bonus. A bonus for playing against stronger opponents is also expected. Exact training values will not be announced, we will let you estimate them using your own experience - as has always been the case in Sokker so far.

Q26: Hi, will extra sub spots will be added?
I am re raise the question as it's pretty important, especially when we use 3 SUBS and an injury occurs. Can it be increased at least 2 extra spots that we don't have to worry about giving to our players wrong ( ATT, MID, DEF) position orders. At the moment we have:
1: GK
2: ATT
3: MID
4: DEF
5: Random or extra 6th and 7th spots would be helpful.
Meaning if we use 3 SUBS we only have one player left...random SUB in that case either should take the same position order as the outcoming injured player at least or adding 3 extra spots can resolve that issue.
A: Once again, I confirm that there will be changes in the area of substitutes and match orders, but only after the introduction of the training reform. It is too early to write about the details - but yes, there are plans to develop the game in this area.

Q27: What is the timetable for the devs? When will we surely know if the training reform comes next season or some time after?
A: As planned, the reform should take effect from next season. I will try to get confirmation in the second half of this season.

Could a mod update this thread title to "NEWS Sokker- big bugs are coming!" please ?

This would be more accurate.

Thanks.

If they add the stamina usage in games and decide that NT games will also use it... good luck :-)))

I really hope they make the NTs as arcade games (no training, no injuries, no stamina depletion) otherwise most people will start hating the NTs
2022-04-14 12:04:12
otherwise most people will start hating the NTs

I already did.

Before this season I was proactively sending the skills to NT coaches after each up but since we have 3 games per week I totally stopped.

+1
2022-04-14 12:07:46
some senior NTs will stop playing friendlies, as the training bonus isn't needed anymore with players that already play 2 official matches every week. I see it in Switzerland for example. This is not a good development for Sokker.
