And who in the world said that tall players will always and inevitably be better than short players? :D You don't quite understand how probabilities work my friend.

In short, tall players are more likely to have an advantage over short players. Its simple as that. I can't simplify it any further, so I hope you're not confused anymore.
2025-10-02 00:55:29
And who in the world said that tall players will always...

The rippers was ("not clear") and I was answering Didiz ("An advantage only to tall players") for clarification.

Too bad, it was apparently even more confusing, at least for you.
Yes, “more likely”, “always” or "only" are not the same, even in terms of probability. Well spotted my friend ;-)

the devs do not know the how the match engine works thats why they do not touch it. so that been said this new article is questionable for me ...
not sure what is definition of short players but best scorers in our all time stats are relatively short so even if there is some kind advantage disadvantage its not worth efforst of making such big deal of it ...
2025-10-03 14:30:38
i agree with you.
my duo Atks height >190cm and bmi >24.5, they so bulky and miss alot penalties and one on ones shot.
i release an Atker with height 170-180 (with any weight) will have danger shoots. :D
2025-10-03 16:05:16
so I guess my strikers self-identify as super tall and super bulky
2025-10-03 19:49:28
So height can help to scores ?

TOP 100 taller strikers Vs 100 smaller strikers
median Goals by match : 1.5 vs 1.3
median NT goals by match : 0.8 vs 0.8

slight advantage to taller, nothing significant.

So perfect bmi can help to scores ?

TOP 100 perfect bmi strikers Vs 100 "not perfect" bmi strikers
median Goals by match : 1.5 vs 1.5
median NT goals by match : 0.75 vs 0.8

No significant difference.

Of course there r biases in those of data. Nt goals by match is less bias, top strikers usually play top form at position and 'winning tactic' (no training tactics).
If height or bmi would give a significant advantage on top 100 scorers we would have seen at least significant differences in term of ratios.
2025-10-03 19:56:05
This kind of data will always be flawed.

I can show you stats how the best Polish ATT of last years (amazing sideskills) is statistically the worst one that played in Polish NT in last seasons - 46 games, 16 goals

vs a Polish NT ATT who has MUCH worse sideskills (9-10) - 18 games, 18 goals

vs another Polish NT ATT with low side skills - 19 games, 17 goals

vs yet another with low side skills - 14 games, 18 goals

and so on
2025-10-03 20:56:57
We can always find counter example. As I said there r much bias, right. But few examples is not global stats and data on hundred players.

I just don't see significant difference between groups of 100 players. I also don't conclude that it may have some marginal advantage or not with bmi or heights.

But, In fact, the most remarkable thing is that median ratios are roughly equal. Not so surprising, as ratings are best and mostly equal.
If I compare strikers by ratings, not by height, not by bmi, ... we can now see significant median ratios between groups. Surprising ?

This guy was on TL, ending tomorrow! Amazing mid prospect and suddenly it disappeared from TL, when i go to check is cause the team got banned.... but it gets even weirder cause the team banned was created 6/10/2025 (YESTERDAY) so he pull a +5m prospect in his team?????
Now we have to wait +12 weeks to have him again on TL? In the mid time he will loose all the chances to become a good player...
ridicoulous

https://sokker.org/player/PID/39951484
he was
2 stamina 1
7 pace 8 def
8 tech 6 PM
8 passing 2 Striker...

42general ss...
37mid ss 18yo
FRESH
suddenly cause game is ridiculous he is ruined....
why they dont do something SO simple like banning the guy and letting the players continue on TL?? The few great prospects this game have are ruined by nonsense like this

Someone made tens of multiaccounts in Azərbaycan just to create players for NT. They create new account, check if they got good enough 18-19yo players, put them on TL and abandon that account... and repeat that process again and again...

This is an unacceptable way of generating players for NT and to discourage such behaviour players like this one should not continue to exist.

Yes, I was the one who discovered these multis and told admin to do something about it :p

i get your point and i think is nice what you did (report it) but i am checking transfers in your tool and the only good prospect was the one i post here...
so 1 player is not gonna make nt stronger or anything... anyways i understand is a hard spot...
thanks for letting us know what happened
Regards:)

That's not good
But it is actually the best way for small countries to get something decent from young's lottery
2025-10-08 10:40:29
I observed another 2-3 18/19 yo acerbaycan players with nice skills. Talent is of course unknown. Could be still very low.

Asbsolutely correct to remove them from the game. It was creating an unfair advantage - discriminating other NTs who follow the rules of fairplay.
2025-10-08 10:44:50
The best way according to fairplay rules is to encourage the community to invest in YS and to train youngsters (even if they have a talent >4) with decent training staff.

Engagement of the community can create a lot of dynamic, allowing even small communities to compete with larger ones.
2025-10-08 11:55:25
Moldova as an example.
Or Crna Gora ofc.

DIDIz to koka
You are right.

We are a very small community in Israel that in previous seasons was quick to sell players for money and promote their club. I am the team coach for 6 seasons and I took it as a project to talk to everyone and explain to them the importance of keeping the potential players in the club because after a check I did on the team's wide database, more than half of the potential players are lost on the way to foreign teams, because they do not receive proper training, some stop training players at the age of 22-23, some train them but with a weak coaching staff, and some train them in wrong skills.

Few players are sold and survive until a late age with maximum training. Fortunately, after the conversations with the community members I see a positive change and I think every small team should act like this in order to train their next generation
