Subject: NEWS Sokker- big changes are coming!
been like this since the very beginning, I believe.
All the arguments against this - better, safer fields; more money for the weaker teams; some others I am sure.
It's like the friendly situation. They don't care, it's working as intended.

It is extremely absurd to take an 8% tax on the sale of the young player, I demand it to be corrected.
I don't know if you've messed with the youth school settings, but I'm seriously fed up. Enough is enough, I'm giving you a definite week count: 35 weeks have passed and my team hasn't received a single decent player. It's constantly getting tragic hopeless players. This has become disgusting. I don't know if you're trying to make everyone lose interest in the game, but you've even managed to wear down someone like me who loves it so much. I don't know how much longer I can keep this up, but if it continues like this, I'll quit the game like many others who love it. Look i have only 4 players in youth school
Today only one player come
18 y tragic 14 weeks

They didn't touch youth school.
It's normal, youth school is 90% about luck. You're lucky, you get top players. You're unlucky, you get worthless players.
Since 11.2024 to 11.2025, for over 1 year, I sold in total only 3 youths: 1 500 euro, 63 000 euro, 353 000 euro. 1 year, 4 seasons in the game. Rest was too bad to even be sold for 1 euro, nobody wanted them.
Now I have similar situation. 11/30 youths, most of them are worthless, only 1 can bring money. And not "big money", he's Incredible 19yo with 7 weeks to come out, talent 3.5.

Honestly, I don't have any expectations for star players. I've experienced some things related to the game. I won the top league in my country and developed some great players. For a long time, all I've wanted is to training players from my own youth academy. I want to do this not for money, but just for fun. But as I said, not even a single mid-level player has come along. Every player who has come is terrible, awful. It's really gotten out of hand. I hope the game development team actually listens to Polish users who understand this game, because it's very clear they haven't listened to us.
As I've said, that's how the youth school works for 15+ years, maybe from beginning... I think only change was "hiding" the real talent.
They plan to fix the youth school, probably it will be the next "big thing" after International Cup. When that will happen and whether they make it better or worse... we will see.

I don’t know what percentage expects the youth academies to be fixed, but it’s not small. I can’t boast of much income from the academy because I don’t sell the good and talented youngsters, and yet I’m in the black from the academy, and my team is mainly built from it. I can’t complain—at least one player per season is worth it, apparently you don’t select the right ones for training.
Obviously you have to select the right players, but having streaks of bad luck is a very real and normal occurrence.
Honestly 35 weeks isn't even that long, as other managers have experienced way longer periods of drought. Of course we don't know if iyi is being too picky, but I think he's just being unlucky and has to wait until the tide turns. Nothing unusual at all.
I also hope the youth school will be revamped next, but if they remove unlucky streaks, then chances are they also will remove the lucky ones. Some people might prefer that, some people won't.

Iyi might be a bit picky if you see that he has only 4 youths and 2 of them are 16yo, so it doesn't seem terrible if these 16s are not tragic. I think most people could trim down their youth school to 5-6 youths and that wouldn't make much difference in their overall youth school income.
As for the changes:
I'm more worried about Raul's idea of youth school talent changes which he wrote once about in international forum. He had an idea which was to make YS talent more "narrow", which would mean less 8+ talents etc. but it would also mean less 3.0-3.5 talents. And that would be very bad IMO. In short - less top players, less terrible players, more average players.
Another idea they had was creating paid "facilities", which was even worse. You would basically have to pay for facilities to get almost same things that you already have for free now.
For example you would have to create 1 facility at level X to even BE ABLE to use a magical or unearthly coach, or create another facility to be able to have 15/20/25/30 max youths etc.
Also nothing good. Here you can read about it: https://sokker.org/forum_topic/ID_forum/63355/ID_topic/3621569/pg/1

Yes, I remember that thread. There was an overall theme of balancing things, with Raul emphasizing that "positive" changes had to be balanced by some "negative" ones in order to prevent a flood of (too) good players in the game. Sounds reasonable, but it all depends on how it's actually done. I just hope they remember to keep the game fun and don't limit things too much, increasing mediocrity.
Raul also said he was willing to abandon the facilities-idea as it would be difficult to implement. Ideas change over time, so I'm curious to see what they end up actually doing.
Personally, I've never been a fan of distorting talent in youth school, so I would like to see that gone. I would also like to have more decision-making power in the youth school and be able to control or at least monitor which types of player are being trained.

It's total luck the academy even you select right players you have no visibility of distribution of skills also the short season makes youth to age faster and with max limit of the skills makes more players that before were ok now are useless..

+1. This will make YS even more luck-dependent. Fewer top players = much more expensive on the market. So the wealth produced by the schools will be distributed even more unequally and the average user will have to wait even more time to get his fair share of top players.

Clubs in smaller countries have a better chance of acquiring good young players than clubs in larger countries...
May I suggest players who graduate from a different country, but with a lower percentage?
Like Messi at Barcelona, or Hakimi at Real Madrid?
