I understand but the problem is that People who dont want to be competitive have an advantage with the new system.
Their young trainees will grow faster.
I thought the idea was to change this and now it is even worse.
The idea was to make it more attractive to be competitive.
Now we will get official matches with trainees instead of the strongest team.

It is important to think ahead instead of looking at the front only. Problem of the current world, theylook 1 minute ahead only.

People who dont want to be competitive have an advantage with the new system.

On the contrary! They have stated you should aim for the highest possible place your team can achieve, or it will have negative concequences.
I think they are referring to sponsorship and supporters / spectators...

Must be ;)
The new training system will crash it, totally no way to be competitive in it.
You team will die if you wont put trainees in the official matches.

But after their statement i suppose friendlies will give training to players :)
They dont want all teams to die.
Other solution is to give the trainees in the slots the same percentage of training they have with a friendly.

It seems like you cant see which players are on TL in the new list of players.
First you have to click on all players of a manager to see this...
Looks like a bug to me, but maybe it is another not improvement.

It is a bug, already reported

Friendlies will NOT give training. That is how I understood it, at least...since they want friendlies to be more like arcade matches as we know arcade now...

not true
it was explained, friendlies will give much less % than official games, but they will still give additional % to training

although playing a ~full official game will give around 100% possible training

so friendly will probably give around 75-80%? I'd guess
not much different from what we have now to be honest, although the exact % are not available yet, I assume that they are probably still working out the calculations

there is also going to be an additional training for playing an official game against a stronger team (weird idea imo)

Dev. Diary 5: New Training changes

This week we would like to present our new training approach. You will find all informations below.
At the same time we are working on the final version of the new season calendar. That part will be presented next week, as it still requires some time.

Training changes

The training system is going to be adjusted. The main goal is to fit the maximum number of trainings into a higher number of matches in a week. This will make training more flexible so that it is possible to build the team not as trained formation vs untrained but more as it is in real life - experienced players vs young players introduced to the first team.

The key change is that instead of having one training match order you will be able to prioritise training for several formations at the same time. Obviously ther will be some limit which is 10 slots per week to allocate.

Additional rules to new training:
1. We keep training match order limits – you can train a maximum of 6 strikers, 2 goalkeepers. Playmakers and defenders will fit into the limit. You can assign a different skill for each of the 4 positions.
2. The players assigned to the 10 training slots will always receive training, even if they haven’t played a match during the week. However, they will receive a significant bonus to their training depending on how many minutes they played.
3. Minutes played in official games will be much more valuable than the same minutes gained in friendly games.
4. To achieve a training bonus which is close to maximum, the player that you set in a training slot should collect about 90 minutes across the week’s official matches.
5. The players who played but had not been put into training slots will only receive general training and just a bit of the training for their match-order.
6. The players who are not assigned to the training slots and who are not playing a match are slowly losing their skills.
7. The players who played an official match and against stronger teams will gain an extra bonus to their training.
8. In the scenario of speeding up the season up to 13 weeks, training speed will be also increased but to a lesser extent. In the scenario of 14 weeks’ season, training will rather stay at the current intensity. Scenarios will be presented with the next Dev. Diary.
9. The effectiveness of the coaches will be visible – you will be able to make decisions about your coaches seeing how their skills affect the effectiveness of each of formation’s training as also the general training.
10. The exact proportions and dependencies will get confirmed after several number of tests on the new testing server. We will simulate appropriate number of speeded up seasons to make sure that the game is balanced accordingly.
11. Stamina training needs to be reworked a bit. The other training rules remains unchanged.

Thanks!
More clear this way.

Thing is...now we have a fixed day for friendlies... on wednesdays.
But with the new system, wednesdays are also league matches.
So when are we going to play a friendly and are we even willing to take the risk to play 3 matches in one week, providing 1 match is only friendly, so not worth the risk of injury imo.
It would be a pointless match imo.
You rather play with the best team for league matches and divide the trainee spots over the 2 league matches to have the maximum training increase.
I don't think it has been worked out yet, tbh.
However, in point 3, they indeed state that league matches give more value to the training than friendlies. Hopefully a more clear explanation will follow in the upcoming weeks...

Has it been said anywhere, what counts as "stronger team"?
2022-01-17 13:27:33
May 2020 and still we dont know if we should expect new training system since the next season or the season after that or even later.
2022-01-17 13:31:22
Coming season, they told last week.

Edit: not totally true, I see now.
But the new league system needs the new training system in my opinion.

Yeah, the friendlies are pretty pointless anyway, just a nuisance.

I would actually delete the friendlies options, who wants to play them anyway, especially with increased number of weekly games

Instead, I would make it simple and DISCONNECT training from playing time - it made sense years ago, in the new version...not really

Simply put - you can train 10 players, no need to play them

ALTHOUGH it would be a massive boost for top teams, who would be able to play at top level and at the same time create a cash influx/next generation of players without any problems

...which in turn would be very bad news for those who are only aspiring to catch up with the top

Instead, I would make it simple and DISCONNECT training from playing time

but making training simple would make the game boring for a lot of old users. There has to be a challenge and some kind of secret to keep it interesting. And it has to hurt a bit to form top players for U21 age. If we face all 20yo without match experience it would be really sad.

So the training bonus for matches played as the only way to full training is still a good option for me.

Exp should have a much bigger influence imo...
