Subject: »Sokker Manager Premium (2.1)

I have run across two bugs that are related. I noticed it because one of my matches does not show an average rating for my team. TROGDOR vs Pink Pirate is the match. All the rest of my matches show the average ratings correctly.

Well I got to looking and a noticed some other odd things about this match. On the match details page, it shows Pink Pirates' tactic name instead of mine, also on the detail page all of our stastics for play in the half, possession, shots, etc is swapped. BUT if I click on the edit match button, the shots swap. So that the shots are correct and everything else is wrong. On this particular match there is no data on the players that played in the match.

I checked another match where my average rating is shown and all of the data is correct on the match detail form, but once again the shots swap when I click on the edit button.

So there is a bug causing that one match to be totally messed up. And a bug that causes the shots to swap when you bring up the edit match details.

Here is a picture of the match versus Pink Pirates. I have both the details and the edit form up so you can see how the shots are swapping.

I just thought of something. The match with the missing average ratings, is also the match that was played twice by the match engine. That probably has something to do with Sokker Manager having trouble with it. Maybe Sokker Manager is trying to read the "ghost" match.

@himem, i know that's out there still, i'll release a new version around that today. Simple fix, i just wanted to get a few more things in it. Also hoping to get feedback from damian re: using the IP address for downloading xml.

New version is out there that should fix the problem with downloading data. It's 3.01, and only fixes that i think. None of the new functionality (for 3.1, that new feature i'm talking about) should be available in it, since it's only 50%

Edit: btw, i know the main form is ugly, i'm gonna align the buttons etc later after i decide how many new ones there will be.

There's already a ones for league, transfer, and that new major feature.

the bug with juniors that pop in their first week is still in.
please add an option to set their starting skill level.

3 juniors are still not shown in the list and I cannot find the problem


for you to play around with here are the first 3 entries of my juniors xml file.
this first 3 entries are the 3 juniors who are missing in both versions (2.x and 3.0x).

I know and fixed the problem with the juniors not showing up moving forward. The problem was that i was assigning them an invalid start or end week, so they aren't showing up... Problem is, to fix it, I need to delete that record.

I'll make a temporary screen to enable you to delete the junior so they can be reimported.

I need more info on their first week pop thing.

Oddly, that error I had last week - not getting it this week.

There was only a short time when that error was there.

Yes, i know exactly why they're missing.

Just tightening up one more thing before i release a new version with a "fix juniors" button.

also you said the week the junior joined are wrong, could you be more exact here?
I was almost certain that I got 3 pretty decent juniors right after the age update, but sokker manager tells me they joined in week 14.
now I'm not sure if I'm wrong or sokker manager is wrong

On my problem with my match. I was wanting to manually fix the match, but I do not see anyway to do so. If I go to where I can edit the player detail, there are no player records present. So there is nothing to edit and no option to add players.

I went into the xml folder but I see that you do not have individual xmls for each match. Just the xml that lists the matches.

Is there another way for me to fix this match?

The problem was that when i set the pull week, i stupidly made an assumption that the id's would be contiguous, and they aren't.

So when there was a few numbers that skipped in the autonumber when i messed with the calendar, some of them were assigned IDs that no longer existed. So the join failed. poof.

Anyway, i just got back from lunch, will release soon.

If there's a match that did not load properly, delete it and download again. it will be reentered and should be correct. The delete button is available on the screen that shows all matches (the match button is on the bottom in the center).

if it's not correct, let me know, there may be something else wrong.

I just released version 3.02.

This has a fix juniors button (i'll get rid of that sooner or later, so if you're missing juniors please use this now).

It also has a transfers download. I clear out all transfers, so even if you've already done this you'll do it again.

It also has most of the "Scan Team" function, which is the new thing i just coded. I'm about to put into the blank lower left section some information abotu each players' ratings, as well as a button to show all of the matches by a player. Also will probably show the team's average player marks for att, def, mid in all games as well as the high and low...

I look for feedback on how you want that to look.

Also, i DID NOT YET BOTHER with the league list on that tab for scan team. Don't tell me it's not there, i know - i'll do that nowish, but it's not a big deal (can always select the opponent with the first two tabs, and i wanted to get the other fix out there)
