well, calling it random is misleading for new users.
what IS random about it?
it depends on your main coach abilities, modified by the assistants coaches general appraisal.

Well I mean if you're training striker, and you get a pop in passing, that's still pretty random, whether it's helped by assistants or not.
Random is a fluctuation in the amount of general training given each week based on a random number generator's output.
But that is not the way it works. Every week, based on your Head Coach and Assts, the general training given each week is the same. No fluctuations in the amount given. This makes pops in non trained skills inevitable and not random.
Random would be a given chance each week a player pops and could result in a player never popping due to general training, although the odds of that happening would be very large.

It shold be called general pop or osmotic pop, not random.
Btw kermmy, you're giving conjecture there that' there's NO random involved in training, no one knows that for sure, and i really doubt you're correct.
There is a random factor in mostly everything in a sim. But it's not purely random, it's a factor based on the stuff you mention.

If you installed ie7 the bug is known, no solutions yet.
Like the other user asked, are you using IE7? I'll make a version of that at some point, but i don't have the ability to install IE7 on my work computer yet...
Also btw, you don't have to have MS office, although that's easier. The runtime will work if you don't own MS Office 2003.

i didn't know about the ie7 :( is that, thanks :( can you change it to use firefox? :D
it just uses IE to log in to get the match data, as that's not available in the data.php site. I use the data.php xml where available.
With respect to firefox, the functions to connect and go thru pages are unknown to me, and i can't install them to play with them on my work machine. The functions for MS tools are in the ms reference guides.
The tool does not require that you EVER use ie, you can use whatever you want to browse. It just requires that IE is installed so that it can use the browser behind the screen to navigate and get the match data.

When you click to do a 'player posting' it's giving the weeks per pop, but it says pops per week.

Could someone possibly provide a screenshot of Sokker Manager? I want to include it on the "downloads" section of my site, but don't want to download and install the Microsoft Access 2003 Runtime thingy.
Cheers.
