It is not your fault, i understood that but you may know that Japan ha few potential players. The best action to do is not taking him into your team after bidwar if you do not want to train him. Japan has lost one potential U21-NT player. I can only get out 2-3 potential players each season, thus it is important for Japan to have good trainers.
Now, this player is lost.
It is sad because you are NT manager.

If you don't need him, sell him. Don't keep a player in your team for nothing.
