Subject: Bargain / Robbed topic 2.0

2025-09-09 16:43:19
honestly the prices of youngsters already dropped a lot, before 16-17yos were even going for 20-40m euro, even with unproven talent. THAT was crazy.

as for paying 10m euro for a young player or more, I don't see a problem when the buyer knows what he is doing.

you want to create a top team? you need to buy / find out ten top talent, top skill youngsters and you won't buy them for 3m euro. so in such case I totally understand that people pay 10m/youth or more, because then they have the best material for shaping their perfect 10 ten players.

later on it's usually hard to get really top players to fill your team because they are rarely sold and they are usually a bit different from your players so it's harder to develop every player perfectly.

If you look at highest transfers in last 10 seasons of 16yo & 17yo players:

- there is only one player from this season in top 30 and his price was #26

- second highest transfer from this season was #84 in last 10 seasons

- there were 17 transfers for 20m-37m euro in last 10 seasons / 0 in this season

- there were 124 transfers for 10m euro or more in last 10 seasons / 4 in this season

so the prices dropped drastically

before you could buy a 16yo for 500k euro and after couple of weeks sell for 10-15m euro, now it doesn't happen

Please please hahaha don't start your stories. It's obvious it was vastly undersold.

Poey, the fact you asked here for opinion makes it even weirder.
You won't convince anyone 5m is a "normal price" (your favourite word) for this player.

Cause it's not gonna work

Stop the cap, his price was around 10m
This may serve as a guide, but not as an clear example. There's one last season of course from the ripper. 9.5m

We are normalizing super players going for super low price but then you see the players from borkos or the ripper and have to act like it's all normal... I don't think so. It's at least, unfair. Because it is not normal such unbalance.

And borkos saying his 12m player is a bargain.... are we all idiots or what?

If I sell that player I get 6m€ dude

You fail to see that overall, your group is getting quite high prices vs the rest
2025-09-09 17:27:09
It will be the new normal.
There is less money in sokker, so prices will drop, simple as that.

Next to that, paying 10 million euro + for such players only happens because people terrible want such players.
It is almost non profit, so they only buy for country, nt, u21, or building a topteam with long term training of top trainees untill 26/27y top players.
To get a lot of money to buy a topteam you need to pay lower prices to get profit.

Believe me, average prices will drop even more.

if you really didn't get the bargain & Modrić joke...

I'm not polish, after all
2025-09-09 17:46:12
neither was the Croatian guy who got 15m euro for same player, I wonder why that wasn't a problem for you

2025-09-07 GLUTTONY HFC Haarlem 5 178 540 € (117 000 €)
2025-05-18 Utah GLUTTONY 2 550 000 € (41 250 €)

I see a lot of profit.., so Utah is robbed and not you.
I like you as a person, but you cant be angry about the transfer price.
Than Utah needs to be way more angry, but I dont see him here complaining.

Next to this, I am sure my profit ( looking at season average) wont be more in the future. 2 million euro profit every season is very high.
Of course there are exceptions, but 2 million euro profit a season is way above average.

You're both trying to convince us that it was a super normal price and I should be grateful?

Or am I missing something?

I think things are standing pretty clear this time. But I'm over it. Can't do anything about the game.

Yours was not a really special player, skills and talent combined to be honest. I expected him too to go higher though.
2025-09-09 19:53:26
It is pretty simple though

If you sell from 1 euro you can get lucky (many people interested adding the player) but you can also get very unlucky because the number of users is so low that there's often just 1 interested user with money to bid because others forgot / don't have money / don't care / couldn't log in. I forget about 90% of players I want to buy nowadays.

Plus some people are unable to make clear observations about the player value and guess / improvise on the spot when buying. Same player they can value in one scenario at 1m euro and at another scenario value at 3m euro. People tend to lower the value of player when he is on TL from fixed price (especially without starting bid), just as they tend to think that player who was previously bought for low price cannot be worth much more.

I had a person who bought player x for let's say 10m euro. Then I offered him mine, same player/talent, objectively worth same amount, for 9m euro - so in fact less than he already paid for such player. He agreed, but then he saw that I bought that player before for 1m euro and cancelled the negotiations angry that I'm asking for a too big profit and player is not worth as much - yet he just paid even more for same player.

When you sell from fixed price / buyer offer you have less people interested (no chance for bargain) but you also won't get screwed with very low price... and if negotiate well or get a buyer who is willing to offer a high price, then you are very lucky

In case of Rackov I didn't really advertise him long, the Croatian user was the 3rd who asked for price. I saw that he bought a "clone" also from Croatia for 15m euro, so I asked for 12m euro - he obviously just wants the top Croatian players to train them and is willing to pay a lot + he just paid 3m euro more for "same" player. I'm 99% sure if I asked for 15m euro he would agree to pay this much. These are the "lucky" sells that you sometimes get.

And sometimes you get unlucky sells, happens to me as well. Sometimes even people who agreed to pay forget to log in to make the bid and the player goes for less. No point in crying over it, once you get more over the market, sometimes under the market price. It's just a game anyway.

Btw. this is how the "12m euro player" started, his skills after youth school. You must have a good eye :-P

Dražen Rackov, age: 16

poor [3] stamina, hopeless [1] goalkeeper
solid [8] pace, hopeless [1] defender
hopeless [1] technique, hopeless [1] playmaker
average [5] passing, tragic [0] striker

probably a GK without goalkeeper skill
