game ban usually is the last step in a long row of warnings and punishments, and the user should have an information before. I wouldn't suspect the staff members to ban someone thoughtless or too quick or without consultation of other staff people. The timing looks not perfect, though.
I was talking about insults / Forum issues. Of course there are other things in the rules you can get an immediate game ban for, but that's unlikely here with an old user. Being admin is still an ungrateful job as your decisions are judged by people who don't have the same information as you.
