Yeah, you were always going to have problems with such big difference in quality. Getting any points at World Cup was already a nice achievement for Israel.
I understand the idea, would probably do something similar with such big difference, but the issue with such defensive play is that you give away the ball, so opponent tries and tries and tries all the time. Eventually it must end with good situations after so many attempts.

I no longer know what to think, Romania - Bulgaria 3:0 with 2 red cards for Romania, Bulgaria beats France and ... the last match France with a red card beats Romania ... it all looks a bit funny to me.
It seems the changes have led to parodies in the matches - it's time to think about whether it makes sense to waste my time here.

Unfortunately, I don't think so – it was the best of its kind of games and, in my opinion, it should remain.
You say nothing has been touched :))) – cosmetic changes are made, but what about the significant ones?
Seasons have been shortened, matches have been added – one led to a disaster in youth academies, the other to more injuries – what is being done about it? Probably nothing. For the players training for national teams to survive, they shouldn't be used in clubs; I could write a lot about the problems these changes caused, but I see no point.
