World Cup 1/4 Final
România - Česká republika 3:1
What was supposed to be an easy and pleasant evening for Romania turned into a real football battle. Before the match, almost everyone saw Romania as the clear favourite but the Czech team, led by their Hungarian coach ufhcs, proved once again that they are capable of surprising anyone. The statistic of 8–7 shots on target for the Czech Republic says everything: this was no one-sided match.
Romania started strong and took the lead in the 11th minute after a brilliant strike from Saramet, but the Czechs immediately responded with aggression, courage, and a series of dangerous attacks through Klicpera, Myška, and Macák. On several occasions Romania’s goalkeeper Coroianu had to perform miracles to keep his team in front. The 1st half ended 1–0, but the Czech Republic had already shown that they were ready to fight for every blade of grass.
The second half brought even more drama. Romania found their second goal through Bodea, but the Czech Republic answered right away thanks to a perfect header from Drahorád. At 2–1 the match was wide open, and for a moment the possibility of another big upset after Poland had already been eliminated was very real.
However, Romania showed the mental strength of a true contender. Coteanu smashed in the decisive goal for 3–1, ending a brave Czech comeback attempt. Romania held on, stayed disciplined, and achieved their mission: they are through to the semifinals after a tough, gritty, physically demanding match.
Czech Republic may be leaving the World Cup, but they leave it with honour, respect, and a very positive impression. Their players fought incredibly hard and their coach ufhcs prepared a great strategy that almost turned this match upside down. Sometimes football comes down to a few centimetres, a bit of luck, and today it simply wasn’t on their side.
Romania, on the other hand, keeps moving forward. Together with Poland they were considered one of the top favourites before the tournament Poland is already gone, but Romania is still alive and getting closer to achieving the dream of becoming World Champions.
Congratulations to Romania, and congratulations to the Czech Republic for a courageous and admirable performance. Bravo to both teams.
For impact, efficiency, and delivering the key moment of the match Coteanu is the Man of the Match.
Man of the Match: Mihai Coteanu (Romania) / club: FC Krikos -Polska
Coteanu entered the match in the second half and completely changed its momentum. He assisted in Romania’s attacking transitions, played confidently under pressure, and most importantly scored the decisive 3–1 goal a powerful shot off the post that finally broke the Czech resistance. At a moment when the match could still go either way, Coteanu showed composure, quality, and finishing ability. Without his contribution, the ending could have been very different.

Brazil has always been my favorite to win this World Cup, but France is very well managed; it's going to be a spectacular match..
In the other match, I think anything can happen, but I see Romania as the favorite.
Good luck to all four teams!
