Congratulation to Senegal on wining the group stage ! Even with an early red card, they have beaten us 5-0. I think they can make 2 teams who can win the African Cup. For me, i have taken great risks because only a win can give us some qualification chances. But Senegal is to strong this season. Good luck all in the final stages!

A little disappointed with that final game but a decent first AFCON and enjoyed putting my still very raw skills against some much more experience managers. Personally would love to try again the next time elections come around even though our squad is a bit on the older side and best of luck to those who have qualified for the final stages.

And just a little nod/thank you to Red_Pirate for organising a smooth tournament with all the additional bits (interviews/scheduling/prompts for games etc)

What a win for Cameroon...excellent job for Reiner Zufall. Big upset for Egypt...

Poor way now I hadn't enough time for the dream team. But if in the next season I will go with corner tactics in the club championship again, I will do it after this tournament. Maybe with less analyse but try do it. Or won't take in every round, only will be a final dream team.

You your best. I wanted to play a fun tactic as with I knew Senegal have won the group without this final group match. Well, after the red card it was really interesting.
Tunis had goal chances but the players missed it. From Senegal side we got scored from them.
I hope we will keep over the 64 ranking place for the 4th hat at the WCQ rolling.

I will do the tables on tomorrow, but as I see what is 100%

Thanks for a fun tournament everyone. Big thanks to RedPirate for arranging everything.
I expected a bit more from my team and hoped we could be at least in with a shout for the top 4, but we had very mixed results. Beating some good teams, only to loose against teams we should not have lost to.
The future for South Africa is a bit unsure. We have to get more users and youth schools going. I will keep trying from my side, but it is a daunting task and all our stars are aging fast.
Anyway, good luck to all the African teams next season in the qualifiers and to the teams that made the semi finals of the African Cup.

There were everything in this round. Bug surprise big fight interesting preparation for the semi final and tasty foods for everyone.
First of all Algeria-Nigeria match where Algeria won easily against Nigeria who well performed in this AFCON and stole point from Senegal. Algeria won this game with an easily 5-0, but next week will be more important for Nigeria and can solve the problems, but they need to change something.
Egypt-Cameroon was a big drama for Egypt as the dominated the match and lost the game. Cameroon needed the luck and got a luck. Cameroon finished the 6th place in the group what is really good if we see their squad. Cameroon 9th team on paper.
Kenya-Morocco match was really interesting with a draw Egypt could have been lucky. There were a big fight in this match with some many goals from each side, finally Kenya won this game and qualify into the semi-final. South Africa closed the tournament with a big win. Senegal won against Tunis 5-0, in this match there weren't so much distance between the two team after the red cards, but Senegal hit the scores, Tunis hadn't any fortune.

I think that this season, the African Cup was more tough than Asian Cup. African teams are looking better!
