Subject: Fan expectations too penalizing
- 1
Please stop!
I've been playing Sokker for 18 years, and no change has ever made me lose the desire to play this game, before this...
What is the fault? Being good? Getting to Serie A and winning?
Since the change was made, expectations have NEVER been realistic and have led to financial collapse, perpetually angry fans even though I win an average of 80% of my competitive matches against Serie A opponents! Ridiculous stadium revenue. This system is absurdly too penalizing!
please, rephrase it...

I have to agree at the moment as my fans are so unhappy and leaving in big numbers but I lost only the cup final and 1 other league game after the start of last season. No idea what the expectations are this season but I feel it will be another struggle.
The problem is they expect too many to end high in the expectations
I'm reporting dadda77's post on the Serie A forum:
"On the one hand, it was predicted. I'd written it several times—understanding the logic of the reform—that the most prestigious teams would be massacred for many seasons. It was inevitable.
What I hadn't considered, and what I find absurd, is that it's now clear that expectations are calculated on the team "in absolute terms," and not in relation to the championship and the opponents they're facing. This creates the absurdity in which all fan bases aspire to the highest levels, despite recent results and true prowess on the pitch.
This will lead (and is already leading) to one of the DEV's stated objectives: a downward revision. Everything: squads, sponsors, fans, revenue, etc.
What's unjustifiable, however, is that Rebel and I should choose to be relegated. It would be the most logical thing. The fans would expect us to win the championship (presumably), but at least you could achieve it, topping it all off with a season of positive revenue. We don't do it for pride or to maintain our streak of Serie A appearances, which—at the same time—becomes an unbearable burden.
It's unthinkable that it would be in the interest of a Serie A team to be relegated...
This is absurd.
I like the seasonal mechanism of expectations, let's be clear, and I've written about it several times.
But I hate the way they're calculated at the start of the season."

The reform, which was welcome by adding a realistic component to the game, was clearly only a rough draft, and the result has been that to date it has only brought financial and management problems to almost all teams!
It's unacceptable that, for example, in our Serie A, all teams except one must be placed at least in the top half of the table! How is this possible?
Furthermore, expectations don't take into account the balance of power with other teams and the team's placement in previous seasons.
For example, in the last three seasons I've finished 8th,
6th, and 7th, and at the same time, the value of my squad has decreased, both due to the aging of players and the sale of some top players! The result? The fans continue to demand the top half of the table every season!
Absurd and unreal!
This needs to be revisited without wasting any more time!

How much money do you have compared to the rest of teams in your league?
And for me it championship :D seems like 10M euro on account is way more than others :D
funny thing is they reduced the importance of money a couple seasons ago. It used to be more pronounced.
My league is not bad overall, but I've definitely noticed a whole lot of 'top half' teams. even teams like Vegas which, until last season, won the title 4-5 seasons in a row. Always top half for him. Not the only team, just one example.

I'm usually expected to win the championship each season even though my results for the last 7 seasons look like this:
7 - 7 - 9 - 8 - 5 - 7 - 6
I have to hire a new treasurer each season, because they all end up in the lunatic asylum :p
